NCT02301975
This study is a randomized, double-blind, double-dummy, parallel group, multicenter, non-inferiority study. The study will enroll adult and adolescent asthmatic subjects who are currently receiving mid dose inhaled corticosteroids (ICS) plus long-acting beta2-agonist (LABA) (equivalent to fluticasone propionate \[FP\]/salmeterol 250/50 microgram \[mcg\]twice daily \[BD\]), either via a fixed dose combination product or through separate inhalers. The study consists of a LABA washout period of 5 days and a run-in period of 4 weeks, followed by a treatment period of 24 weeks, and a follow up contact period of one week. The total duration of the study is 30 weeks. Approximately 1461 subjects will be randomized to one of the following three treatments (487 per treatment): fluticasone furoate (FF)/vilanterol (VI) 100/25 mcg once daily (OD) in the evening (PM) via ELLIPTA™ inhaler plus placebo BD via ACCUHALER™/DISKUS™; FP/salmeterol 250/50 mcg BD via ACCUHALER/DISKUS inhaler plus placebo OD (PM) via ELLIPTA inhaler; FP 250 mcg BD via ACCUHALER/DISKUS inhaler plus placebo OD (PM) via ELLIPTA inhaler. In addition, all subjects will be supplied with albuterol/salbutamol inhalation aerosol to use as needed to treat acute asthma symptoms. This study will determine if FF/VI 100/25 mcg OD via ELLIPTA inhaler is non-inferior to FP/salmeterol 250/50 mcg BD via ACCUHALER/DISKUS inhaler in adult and adolescent asthmatic subjects already adequately controlled on a twice-daily ICS/LABA. SERETIDE, ELLIPTA, ACCUHALER, RELVAR, and DISKUS are trademarks of the GlaxoSmithKline Group of Companies.
NCT02940470
The primary objective of this pilot study is to determine the effect of weight loss on a wide range of biomarkers associated with risk of breast cancer recurrence in overweight and obese breast cancer survivors. We hypothesized that weight loss would result in a statistically significant improvement in biomarkers associated with risk of breast cancer recurrence.
NCT03297463
This is a Phase 1b/2 study designed to evaluate combination of the human T-cell cytokine Interleukin-2 (IL-2) and a checkpoint inhibitor Ipilimumab immediately following a course of hypofractionated palliative radiation therapy in the management of unresectable, relapsed/refractory metastatic melanoma.
NCT01500278
This study is conducted to evaluate the short (12 Weeks) and long term (104 Weeks) efficacy of Certolizumab Pegol compared with Adalimumab both in combination with Methotrexate (MTX) in the treatment of moderate to severe Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) that is not responding adequately to MTX.
NCT01934244
This post approval, observational study is being conducted to further evaluate the safety of the NovaSure Endometrial Ablation System when it is performed in the presence of Essure micro-inserts.
NCT00160524
An open-label follow-on safety study of CDP870 (400 mg every 4 weeks) in patients with Crohn's Disease who have completed a 26-week blinded study (CDP870-031 \[NCT00152490\] or CDP870-032 \[NCT00152425\]).
NCT03050151
To collect data on actual-use to assess technical performance and user injections of dupilumab auto-injection device by patients with atopic dermatitis (AD).
NCT00753454
The purpose of this study is to continue to assess the safety of certolizumab pegol in combination with methotrexate (MTX).
NCT00717236
This is a Phase IIIb multicenter study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of certolizumab pegol (CZP) administered to patients with moderate-to-severe rheumatoid arthritis.
NCT02832297
In this 12-month multi-center prospective, site-randomized, two-arm trial, approximately 318 biologic-naïve subjects with RA who are candidates for treatment intensification due to inadequate response to MTX monotherapy will be enrolled at up to 60 study sites.
NCT00197015
This is a study to evaluate the immune response and safety of GSK Biologicals 2-dose inactivated hepatitis A vaccine when administered with a measles/mumps/rubella vaccine and a varicella (chickenpox) vaccine in children as young as 15 months of age. The Protocol Posting has been updated in order to comply with the FDA Amendment Act, Sep 2007.
NCT02316847
This study will assess long-term safety and tolerability of repeat dose diazepam nasal spray in adolescents and adults with cluster seizures, with a focus on potential local effects (changes in nasal mucosa, olfaction, and taste).
NCT00993668
The purpose of this trial is to assess the affect of Certolizumab Pegol (CZP) treatment on antibody response to T cell-independent and T cell-dependent immunizations using pneumococcal and influenza vaccines, respectively.
NCT02167113
This non-interventional clinical study will be conducted to prospectively collect serial plasma samples from subjects with chronic HBV infection who are initiating antiviral therapy. These samples will be used to estimate clinical utility endpoints for the Aptima HBV Quant assay, which is used as an aid in the management of HBV-infected patients undergoing HBV antiviral therapy.
NCT01255761
Phase 4 study to evaluate a routine patient completed assessment (RAPID3) compared to a physician completed assessment (CDAI) to predict treatment success with subjects with moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis
NCT02794155
This will be a Phase 2b, multicenter, randomized, double blind, titration clinical study, evaluating the efficacy and safety in the HDV Insulin Lispro Group versus Insulin Lispro Group in patients with type 1 diabetes over a 26 week treatment period. The patients will be randomized using a centrally allocated randomization scheme to 1 of the 2 treatment arms in an overall 2:1 scheme (HDV Insulin Lispro: Insulin Lispro). Both arms will receive the randomized treatment in combination with glargine or detemir. Goal to demonstrate that the efficacy of HDV insulin lispro administered in combination with a basal insulin (HDV Insulin Lispro group) is non-inferior to insulin lispro in combination with a basal insulin (Insulin Lispro group), in effects on glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) in patients with type 1 diabetes. If non-inferiority is demonstrated, confirm that HDV insulin lispro in combination with a basal insulin (HDV Insulin Lispro group) is superior to insulin lispro in combination with a basal insulin (Insulin Lispro group), in effects on HbA1c in patients with type 1 diabetes (≥ 0.4% decrease in HbA1c).
NCT02558894
A Phase II Open-Label, Multi-Center Study of MEDI4736 Evaluated as Single Agent or in Combination with Tremelimumab in Patients with Metastatic Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma.
NCT01891305
The purpose of this study is to determine if the novel oral agent VT-1161 is safe and effective in treating patients with moderate - severe tinea pedis (also referred to as athletes foot). VT-1161 has been designed to inhibit CYP51, an enzyme essential for fungal growth. Inhibition of CYP51 results in the accumulation of chemicals know to be toxic to the fungus. CYP51 is the molecular target of the class of drugs referred to as 'azole antifungals'. All currently approved azole drugs have poor selectivity for CYP51 and this results in many of the side effects associated with the azole antifungals. The safety profile of the class similarly limits use in chronic treatment of non-life-threatening fungal infections. A safer antifungal drug would improve treatment options for infections seen in otherwise healthy individuals where significant side-effect risks are unacceptable.
NCT00985673
