To determine the optimal duration for continuation of Tigan® following initiation of Apokyn® therapy iii. To assess the safety of Tigan® in combination with Apokyn® iv. To characterize the pharmacokinetic (PK) profile of apomorphine in subjects treated concomitantly with and without Tigan®
NCT00303979
The purpose of this study is to characterize current management of patients with either heart failure or prior myocardial infarction and left ventricular dysfunction and to assess the effect of education, specific clinical guidelines, reminder systems, comprehensive disease state management tools, benchmarked quality reports, and academic detailing on the use of evidence-based heart failure therapies in cardiology practices. This study is a quality improvement initiative that is being conducted through review of patient records.
NCT02580448
The goal of this clinical study is to determine the safety, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and efficacy and activity of seviteronel, a lyase-selective inhibitor of CYP17, in patients with advanced breast cancer.
NCT02153931
Background: \- Studies show that Internet Support Groups (ISGs) can help parents of children with chronic conditions. Researchers want to find out if ISGs can help parents of a child with the genetic disorder Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1). Objective: \- To see if an ISG for parents with a child with NF1 can give the parents more social support and less anxiety. Eligibility: \- Adults age 18 and older with a child (age 0 25 years) with NF1. Design: * Participants will register for the study on a website hosted by the Children s Tumor Foundation. * Participants will complete 5 questionnaires. These will be about their emotional well-being, their child s health status, and their contact information. * The ISG will include a Discussion Forum that participants can enter 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A professional moderator will post questions and discussion topics. The moderator can also respond to questions. They will be a psychologist, a psychology associate, or a nurse-practitioner. Each one will be highly experienced at working with young people with NF1 and their families. * The ISG also will contain a chat room. Here participants can chat with other users in real time. The chat room will be open for one 90-minute session per week. * The ISG will remain open for 8 weeks. Then participants will retake 4 of the questionnaires from the beginning of the study. They will also complete 1 other questionnaire about their experiences with the ISG. Information from any messages participants post on the ISG website will be collected. * Three months after the ISG closes, participants will complete the questionnaires one final time.
NCT00500617
The PREDICT study is to develop and validate a diagnostic blood ASGES (age, sex, gene expression score) or Corus CAD for atherosclerotic coronary artery disease (CAD). The Corus CAD (Age/Sex/Gene Expression score - ASGES) will use quantitative real-time PCR (RT-PCR) to quantify the expression of multiple genes from circulating peripheral blood cells to assess the presence of clinically significant CAD in a patient.
NCT01469039
The study will determine the efficacy of ALKS 9072 (also known as aripiprazole lauroxil or ALKS 9070) for the treatment of schizophrenia in subjects experiencing an acute exacerbation.
NCT01305525
This is a prospective non-interventional 24 month post implant registry. Any patient that receives a St. Jude Medical FDA approved implantable neuromodulation system is eligible for enrollment. A minimum of 600 patients will be enrolled from a minimum of 30 sites. Patients will be enrolled post-implant and followed for 24 months. Data are collected at enrollment (within 30 days of device implant), and routine care follow-up visits at 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, 18 months and 24 months.
NCT00300235
Priapism, a prolonged erection of the penis, is a medical issue that often affects men with sickle cell disease. The purpose of this study is to collect demographic and clinical information on priapism by interviewing men with sickle cell disease.
NCT01120054
Objectives include: 1) establishing a psychometrically sound traumatic brain injury (TBI) screening measure for use among homeless veterans; 2) identifying the prevalence of those that screen positive for TBI among homeless veterans seeking VA services; and 3) comparing psychiatric and psychosocial outcomes between those with and without a history of TBI.
NCT01334541
The investigators propose to evaluate Suicide Assessment and Follow-up Engagement: Veteran Emergency Treatment (SAFE VET) which is currently being implemented in 4 VA ED/Urgent Care Units across the United States (Portland VA Medical Center (VAMC), Denver VAMC, Manhattan VAMC, and Philadelphia VAMC).
NCT02961491
The purpose of this sub-study is to provide expanded access of AZEDRA (Ultratrace Iobenguane I 131) and to evaluate the safety and tolerability of AZEDRA in subjects with iobenguane-avid malignant and/or recurrent pheochromocytoma/paraganglioma (PPGL).
NCT02670551
This study investigates the efficacy of a fixed-dose regimen of cariprazine 1.5 milligram (mg)/day or 3 mg/day compared to placebo for treatment of the depressive episode in participants with bipolar I disorder. The safety and tolerability of the fixed-dose regimens will be evaluated.
NCT01819129
This trial is conducted in Asia, Europe and North America. The aim of the trial is to compare FIAsp (faster-acting insulin aspart) to insulin aspart, both in combination with insulin glargine and metformin in adults with type 2 diabetes.
NCT02011893

Dose Escalation (MTD Finding) Phase: To investigate the maximum tolerated dose (MTD), safety and pharmacokinetics of different volasertib administration schedules in combination with decitabine in previously untreated AML patients \>= 65 years of age who are considered ineligible for standard intensive therapy, or patients with relapsed or refractory AML regardless of prior treatment status. MTD Extension Phase: To collect additional data on safety, efficacy and pharmacokinetics of volasertib in combination with decitabine in previously untreated patients with AML \>= 65 years of age and considered ineligible for standard intensive therapy.
NCT00928018
This trial is comparing whether using a drug called sirolimus for graft versus host disease (GVHD) prevention can decrease the chance of the participant's lymphoma relapsing after transplantation, compared to using a standard GVHD prevention regimen without sirolimus. Since mTOR inhibitors have anti-lymphoma activity, their use after transplantation may lead to a decreased risk of relapse and hence better transplantation outcome.
NCT01203748
This investigation is designed with the hypothesis that combined PV Antral Isolation and Ablation of Complex Fractionated Electrograms (PVI+CFE) approach will offer a higher success rate compared to the Wide Circumferential Pulmonary Vein Antrum Isolation (PVI) approach and to the Combined PV Antral Isolation and Empiric Linear Ablation (PVI+Lines) approach.
