NCT00271180
The main purpose of the Product Performance Report (formerly referred to as System Longevity Study) is to evaluate long-term performance of Medtronic market-released cardiac rhythm products by analyzing product survival probabilities.
NCT03312400
Background: DNA is a structure in the body. It contains data about how the body develops and works. Telomeres are found on the end of chromosomes in DNA. Some people with short telomeres or other gene changes can develop diseases of the bone marrow, lung, and liver. Researchers want to see if low doses of the hormone drug danazol can help. Objective: To study the safety and effect of low dose danazol. Eligibility: People ages 3 and older with a telomere disease who have either very short telomeres and a specific gene change. They must also show signs of aplastic anemia, lung, or liver disease. Design: Participants will be screened in another protocol. Participants will have: * Medical history * Physical exam * Blood tests * Lung exam. They will breathe into an instrument that records the amount and rate of air breathed in and out over a period of time. 6-minute walking test. * Abdominal ultrasound and liver scan. These tests use sound waves to measure the fibrosis in the liver. Some participants will have: * Pregnancy test * Small sample of the liver removed * Bone marrow biopsy. The bone will be numbed and a small needle will take a sample of the marrow. All participants will have hormone levels checked. All child participants will see a pediatric endocrinologist. Children may need to have a hand x-ray. We will monitor patients for 6 months before starting danazol. Participants will take danazol by mouth twice a day for 1 year. Participants must return to the clinic at 6 months and 12 months while on danazol and 6 months after stopping it. They will have blood and urine tests, a lung exam, abdominal ultrasound, and liver scan.
NCT04977986
This is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multiple-center study, to assess the efficacy and safety of Cannabidiol administered as ZYN002 for the treatment of children, adolescent, and young adult patients with Fragile X Syndrome (FXS). Eligible participants will participate in up to an 18-week treatment period, where all participants will receive placebo or active study drug. Patients ages 3 to \< 30 years will be eligible to participate.
NCT04851184
The purposes of this research are to 1) utilize virtual reality (VR) to evaluate the exercise dose required to improve symptoms in those with vestibular (dizziness) disorders, 2) compare VR vestibular exercises to standard exercises, and 3) compare exercise performance outcomes to healthy controls without vestibular disorders. Even though more than 35% of those over 40, and \~50% of those who have had concussion have such symptoms, the dose of specific exercises targeted to improve symptoms is not well defined. In this study, the investigators will use a wireless VR device to measure key parameters and response to exercise. Another advantage of the VR device is the ability to control what the individual can see while performing the exercise. In normal daily life, moving objects and distracting backgrounds can make vestibular exercise too uncomfortable to perform. Using these methods, the investigators aim to determine the appropriate type and amount of exercise required for symptom improvement. This study will also compare the effectiveness of performing exercises in the virtual reality environment to standard physical therapy and to healthy persons without history of vestibular disorders. Three categories of vestibular disorders will be investigated with an instrumented and usual therapy group of 1) Unilateral hypofunction, 2) bilateral hypofunction, and 3) post-concussion.
NCT01042015
The goal of this study is to rapidly cool trauma victims who have suffered cardiac arrest from bleeding with a flush of ice-cold sodium chloride to preserve the patient to enable surgical control of bleeding, followed by delayed resuscitation with cardiopulmonary bypass.
NCT07006831
The purpose of this research is to collect blood samples and data from kidney transplant patients. The samples and data will be used for research and development of non-invasive test to detect donor-derived cell-free DNA (dd-cfDNA) in kidney transplant patients to evaluate the status of the transplanted organ.
NCT06973291
The main aim of this study is to assess whether zasocitinib works better than deucravacitinib in treating participants with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis. Participants will take one tablet daily of either zasocitinib or a matching placebo, along with one capsule daily of either over-encapsulated deucravacitinib or a matching placebo, for a duration of 16 weeks. Participants will be in the study for up to 25 weeks, which includes screening period of up to 35 days, a 16-week treatment period, and a 4-week safety follow-up period.
NCT06595238
A Phase IIb Randomised, Double-blind, Placebo-controlled Study to Evaluate the Efficacy, Safety and Tolerability of AZD6234 compared with placebo, given once a week as subcutaneous injection for 36 weeks, in male and female participants of at least 18 years of age who are living with obesity (body mass index \[BMI\] ≥ 30 kg/m2), or overweight (BMI ≥ 27 kg/m2) and at least one weight-related comorbidity
NCT07287631
Assess precision of the i-STAT potassium (K) and ionized calcium (iCa) tests using i-STAT CG8+ cartridge on the i-STAT 1 analyzer.
NCT04416568
This clinical trial is studying two immunotherapy drugs (nivolumab and ipilimumab) given together as a possible treatment for INI1-negative tumors.
NCT06216301
This study, known as LUNAR-2, aims to investigate the effectiveness and safety of using TTFields, delivered by the NovoTTF-200T device, concomitantly administered with pembrolizumab and platinum-based chemotherapy for patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. The primary goals of the study are to assess overall survival and progression-free survival. Secondary objectives include analyzing outcomes based on the specific histology (subtype) of the lung cancer.
NCT06538116
The main purpose of this study is to look at how safe the study drug (mevidalen) is and whether it works to alleviate symptoms when given to people with mild to moderate Alzheimer Disease (AD) dementia. This is done by looking at participants: thinking and memory (cognition), everyday activities and sleep, AD symptoms, physical activity, irritability or anxiety. The study is expected to last approximately 26 weeks and may include up to 14 visits.
NCT03092856
This randomized phase II trial studies how well axitinib with or without anti-OX40 antibody PF-04518600 work in treating patients with kidney cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. Biological therapies, such as anti-OX40 antibody PF-04518600, use substances made from living organisms that may may stimulate the immune system in different ways and stop tumor cells from growing. Axitinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Giving axitinib with or without anti-OX40 antibody PF-04518600 may work better in treating patients with kidney cancer.
NCT06336356
The main purpose of this study is to assess the serum free cortisol response after ACTH stimulation test at baseline and at Week 8 in participants with uncontrolled hypertension.
