NCT00598273
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the safety and efficacy of peginesatide for the treatment of anemia in participants with chronic kidney disease, who are not on dialysis and not on erythropoiesis stimulating agent (ESA) treatment.
NCT00043888
Antiretroviral Therapy (ART) naive subjects will be enrolled in this clinical research study to test the safety and tolerability of fosamprenavir with or without ritonavir in combination TRIZIVIR and COMBIVIR. Subjects will receive 24 weeks of therapy.
NCT00457119
This 2 step study aims to establish a tolerable dose level and regimen of RAD001 in patients with advanced NCLC not previously treated with systemic therapy. In step 1 of this study, RAD 001 is given in combination with carboplatin and paclitaxel and in Step 2 RAD001 is given in combination with carboplatin, paclitaxel and bevacizumab
NCT01203462
The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of probiotic supplemented yogurt in reducing colonic transit time (CTT) in females between the ages of 18-65 years old. Two yogurts will be administered, one containing a specific strain of probiotic in the Bifidobacterium genus and the other without the probiotic supplement. It is hypothesized that subjects receiving the probiotic supplemented yogurt will experience reduced CTT and improved gastrointestinal comfort and quality of life compared to those receiving the non-probiotic supplemented yogurt.
NCT00077194
This phase II trial is studying how well FR901228 works in treating patients with relapsed or refractory non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as FR901228, work in different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die.
NCT00195260
To evaluate the safety and tolerability of oral SKI-606 (bosutinib) administered on a daily schedule to subjects with advanced malignant solid tumors and to define a maximum tolerated dose (MTD) in this subject population.
NCT00134459
The purpose of the study is to investigate whether eight weeks of treatment with flexible doses of bifeprunox is superior to treatment with placebo in depressed patients with bipolar disorder.
NCT00598442
NCT00366704
The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of bifeprunox or risperidone on the body weight of patients with schizophrenia.
NCT01198873
Primary Objective: \- Evaluate the effect of dronedarone versus placebo (standard therapy) in slowing the progression of adverse left atrial remodeling in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) following 12 months of treatment. Secondary Objectives: * Evaluate the effects of dronedarone versus placebo on left atrial function; * Evaluate the effects of dronedarone versus placebo on left atrial dimension; * Evaluate the effects of dronedarone versus placebo on left ventricular function (LVEF, E, E', A, E/E') * Evaluate the safety and tolerability of dronedarone.
NCT00768729
Kidney transplantation is widely considered to be the treatment of choice for children with End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD). The purpose of this study is to determine the safety of sirolimus monotherapy for long-term immunosuppression in children and adolescents after kidney transplantation.
NCT00464633
Multicenter, open-label, study of alvocidib in previously treated chronic lymphocytic leukemia patients. Primary objective is to determine overall response rate. The secondary objectives are: * to assess overall safety, * to assess duration of response, progression free survival, and overall survival. Clinical benefit and pharmacokinetics parameters are also evaluated.
NCT00005843
Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of R115777 in treating patients who have metastatic pancreatic cancer. Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die.
NCT01209702
This randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study will evaluate the safety and efficacy of RoActemra/Actemra (tocilizumab) in patients with ankylosing spondylitis (AS) who have failed treatment with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and are naïve to tumor necrsos factor (TNF) antagonist therapy. In Part 1 of the study, patients will be randomized to receive either RoActemra/Actemra 8 mg/kg intravenously (IV) or placebo every 4 weeks for 12 weeks. In Part 2, patients will be randomized to receive RoActemra at either 8 mg/kg or 4 mg/kg IV or placebo every 4 weeks for 24 weeks. The double-blind treatment period will be followed by open-label treatment with RoActemra/Actemra 8 mg/kg iv every 4 weeks until Week 208 for all patients. Anticipated time on study treatment is 208 weeks.
NCT00376454
The purpose of this study was to determine the analgesic effect of GW493838 in patients with post-herpetic neuralgia or peripheral nerve injury caused by trauma or surgery.
NCT00024024
Phase I/II trial to study the effectiveness of BMS-275291 in treating patients who have HIV-related Kaposi's sarcoma. Drugs such as BMS-275291 may stop the growth of Kaposi's sarcoma by stopping blood flow to the tumor.
NCT00005085
Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of rebeccamycin analog in treating patients who have metastatic or locally recurrent colorectal cancer. Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die.
NCT00447265
Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic, multisystem, autoimmune disease in which the body's immune system attacks its own normal tissues. This abnormal autoimmune response can result in damage to many parts of the body, including the skin, joints, lungs, heart, brain, intestines, and kidneys. Kidney problems occur in 60-75 % of lupus patients. The development of lupus-related kidney disease (called lupus nephritis) is associated with an overall worse prognosis. SLE is usually treated with drugs that try to block inflammation caused by the immune system. These treatments can create their own problems and they do not cure lupus. The drugs that are often used to treat lupus nephritis include prednisone (steroids), cyclophosphamide (Cytoxan), azathioprine (AZA or Imuran), and mycophenolate mofetil (MMF or Cellcept). The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of etanercept compared to placebo in combination with standard of care to treat individuals with active lupus nephritis.
NCT01380886
