NCT03694600
This is a clinical trial designed to evaluate the performance of a multi-analyte blood test alone to ultrasound alone for the detection of HCC within a population that is at high risk for HCC due to liver cirrhosis.
NCT05127785
To investigate how measures of frailty, assessed during occupational therapy (OT) evaluation and intervention impact decision for advanced heart failure (HF) therapies and postoperative outcomes.
NCT03721172
This is a Phase 3, multicenter, randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind study designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of apremilast (CC-10004) in subjects with mild to moderate plaque psoriasis. Approximately 574 subjects with mild to moderate plaque psoriasis will be randomized 1:1 to receive either apremilast 30 mg BID or placebo for the first 16 weeks.
NCT06433466
Young adults (N = 1,500) will participate in the online survey-based experiment. They will be randomly shown 10 videos, featuring influencers promoting e-cigarettes alongside healthy lifestyle activities (experimental group), or a healthy lifestyle activity alone (control). After watching each video, participants will rate perceptions of influencer credibility (i.e., honesty, trustworthiness, knowledge, attractiveness, intelligence, and popularity) on the scale of 0 (e.g., dishonest) to 100 (honest). Among all participants, harm perceptions of e-cigarettes will be assessed. Susceptibility to use e-cigarettes will be assessed among never users. These outcomes will then be compared among participants who perceived influencers as credible and those who perceived influencers as non-credible.
NCT03913013
The investigators propose to enhance the scalability of family-focused therapy (FFT), a 12-session evidence-based therapy for youth at high risk for mood disorders, through augmentation with a novel mobile phone application called MyCoachConnect (MCC). In adolescents with mood instability who have a parent with bipolar or major depressive disorder, clinicians in community clinics will conduct FFT sessions (consisting of psychoeducation and family skills training) supplemented by weekly MCC "real time" assessments of moods and family relationships; based on results of these assessments and the family's progress in treatment, clinicians will then push personalized informational and coaching alerts regarding the practice of communication and problem-solving skills. The investigators hypothesize that the augmented version of FFT (FFT-MCC) will be more effective than FFT without coaching/informational alerts in altering treatment targets and in stabilizing youths' mood symptoms and quality of life.
NCT01624142
A study to assess the long term safety and tolerability of evolocumab (AMG 145) in adolescents and adults with severe familial hypercholesterolemia.
NCT04388813
This is a longitudinal, multi-center, observational study collecting diverse biological measurements and clinical and epidemiological data for the purpose of enabling a greater understanding of the onset of severe outcomes, primarily acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and/or mortality, in patients presenting to the hospital with suspicion or diagnosis of COVID-19. We seek to understand whether there are early signatures that predict progression to ARDS, mortality, and/or other comorbid conditions. The duration of the study participation is approximately 3 months.
NCT03896945
This study will be conducted to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of AVP-786, as compared with placebo, for the treatment of negative symptoms of schizophrenia.
NCT03377452
This study is a randomized controlled trial (RCT) to test two sleep apnea education programs for women Veterans newly diagnosed with sleep apnea (SA) who are prescribed positive airway pressure (PAP) therapy. This education program is designed to improve participants' sleep quality and help them to adjust to PAP therapy. Participants undergo a sleep and health assessment that is performed prior to beginning the education program. This assessment includes wearing a wrist actigraph to measure sleep and wake periods for 7 days and nights, and answering questionnaires about sleep habits and health. Participants are randomly assigned to one of two 6-week programs (intervention or educational control) provided by a study interventionist. Follow-up sleep and health assessments will be conducted at the end of the 6-week program and 3-months later. PAP usage data will be collected remotely for 6-months from PAP therapy initiation.
NCT03772665
The purpose of this study is to determine if emixustat hydrochloride reduces the rate of progression of macular atrophy compared to placebo in subjects with Stargardt disease. Funding Source -- FDA OOPD
NCT04192630
The objective of the study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the Bausch \& Lomb CVisc50 cohesive OVD compared to the Alcon ProVisc® cohesive OVD when used in cataract surgery.
NCT02000427
The primary objective is to evaluate the rate of complete remission/complete remission with partial hematological recovery (CRh\*) in adults with relapsed/refractory Philadelphia chromosome positive (Ph+) B-precursor acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) who receive blinatumomab.
NCT04117711
This study is a first-in-human, randomized, placebo-controlled, 4-Part, single ascending dose (SAD) and multiple ascending dose (MAD) study in healthy adult subjects and adult subjects with Classic Galactosemia.
NCT04547998
This is a prospective blinded within-subject randomized study to evaluate the application of Spray-On Skin™ Cells, prepared using the RECELL® Device for safe and effective repigmentation of ablated stable vitiligo lesions.
NCT06428890
This study aimed to assess the effect of the supplementation with grape seed extract (GSE) on blood pressure during static handgrip exercise and muscle metaboreflex in individuals with elevated and state 1 hypertension.
NCT05281614
The underlying hypothesis is that vedolizumab will modify immune cell trafficking in type 1 diabetes, and that this will be enhanced by pre-treatment with etanercept. This study will determine whether there is mechanistic evidence in support of this hypothesis and provide preliminary information about safety, efficacy, and tolerability of vedolizumab with and without pretreatment with etanercept in adults with type 1 diabetes (T1D)
NCT04258839
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the long-term safety and tolerability of brexpiprazole in children and adolescent participants, aged 5 to 17, with irritability associated with autism spectrum disorder.
NCT05836818
The goal of this research is to increase influenza vaccine acceptance and uptake in vulnerable populations whose primary (and often only) health care access occurs in emergency departments (ED Usual Source of Care Patients). Toward this goal, the investigators will conduct one on one interviews and focus groups with ED Usual Source of Care Patients and community partners and produce trusted messaging informational platforms (PROmotion of FLU VA(X)ccination in the Emergency Department - PROFLUVAXED) that will address barriers to flu vaccination, especially vaccine hesitancy. The investigators will then conduct a cluster-randomized, controlled trial of PROFLUVAXED platforms in six EDs to determine whether their implementation is associated with greater flu vaccine acceptance and uptake in ED Usual Source of Care Patients.
NCT03041467
To evaluate the safety and efficacy of the IN.PACT™ AV Access Drug Coated Balloon (DCB) compared to percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) for treatment of subjects presenting with de novo or non-stented restenotic obstructive lesion of native arteriovenous dialysis fistulae (AVF) in the upper extremity.
NCT04271332
This Phase 2 study examines the safety, tolerability, and efficacy of arbaclofen in pediatric subjects with 16p11.2 deletion. Male or female subjects aged 5 to 17 years of age will be randomized to receive either placebo or arbaclofen in a double-blind study design. If the subject completes all study requirements through Visit 4 (Close-out Visit), he/she may be eligible for an optional open-label study with arbaclofen.
