NCT02124798
The primary objective of this study is to assess the suitability of the autoinjector for self-administration of belimumab by subjects with SLE in real-life conditions. The study will assess the use of the autoinjector inside the clinic setting and outside the clinic setting. The study will also assess the safety and tolerability of belimumab administered subcutaneously (SC) via the autoinjector. Subjects will self-administer belimumab SC into the thigh or abdomen using the autoinjector device for 8 weekly doses. Subjects will return for a follow-up visit 4 weeks after the last SC dose of belimumab. All injections will be assessed by the investigators for success based on direct observation and/or the subject diary. A total of 118 subjects (treated with at least one dose of study drug) are planned to be enrolled in this study.
NCT02558829
The Macimorelin Growth Hormone Stimulation Test (GHST) will be compared with the Insulin Tolerance Test (ITT) in an open-label, randomized, 2-way crossover Trial. The trial will include subjects suspected to have adult growth hormone deficiency (AGHD) and a group of healthy control subjects.
NCT00789958
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as capecitabine and gemcitabine, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells. Specialized radiation therapy that delivers a high dose of radiation directly to the tumor may kill more tumor cells and cause less damage to normal tissue. Giving more than one drug (combination chemotherapy) together with radiation therapy may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well giving capecitabine together with gemcitabine followed by capecitabine and radiation therapy works in treating patients with cholangiocarcinoma of the gallbladder or bile duct.
NCT02313844
Patients enrolled on this study will have received a stem cell transplant. After a transplant, while the immune system grows back the patient is at risk for infection. Some viruses can stay in the body for life, and if the immune system is weakened (like after a transplant), they can cause life-threatening infections. BK virus (BKV) is a virus that can cause serious life-threatening infections in patients who have weak immune systems. It affects the urinary tract, and can cause frequent urination, blood in the urine, and severe pain. Investigators want to see if they can use a kind of white blood cell called T cells to treat BKV infections that occur after a transplant. Investigators have observed in other studies that treatment with specially trained T cells has been successful when the cells are made from the transplant donor. However as it takes 1-2 months to make the cells, that approach is not practical when a patient already has an infection. Investigators have now generated BKV-specific T cells from the blood of healthy donors and created a bank of these cells. Investigators have previously successfully used frozen virus-specific T cell lines generated from healthy donors to treat virus infections after bone marrow transplant, and have now improved the production method and customized the bank of lines to specifically and exclusively target BKV. In this study, investigators want to find out if the banked BKV-specific T cells derived from healthy donors are safe and can help to treat BK virus infection. The BKV-specific T cells (Viralym-B) are an investigational product not approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
NCT01907815
This phase II trial studies how well trametinib and protein kinase B (Akt) inhibitor GSK2141795 work in treating patients with acute myeloid leukemia. Trametinib and Akt inhibitor GSK2141795 may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.
NCT01440998
This pilot phase I trial studies how well dasatinib works together with paclitaxel and carboplatin in treating patients with stage III, stage IV, or endometrial cancer that has come back after a period of improvement. Dasatinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as paclitaxel and carboplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving dasatinib together with paclitaxel and carboplatin may kill more tumor cells.
NCT02465450
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and efficacy of JBT-101 in adult subjects with cystic fibrosis (CF).
NCT01263015
The purpose of this trial is to assess the non-inferior antiviral activity of GSK1349572 50 mg plus Abacavir/Lamivudine once daily versus Efavirenz/Emtricitabine/Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (ATRIPLA® a trade mark of Bristol-Myers Squibb and Gilead Sciences LLC) over 48 weeks; non-inferiority will also be tested at Week 96. This study will be conducted in HIV-1 infected ART-naïve adult subjects. Long term antiviral activity, tolerability, safety, and development of viral resistance will be evaluated.
NCT00988208
The purpose of the study is to determine whether lenalidomide is safe and effective for use in combination with docetaxel and prednisone for the treatment of subjects with metastatic Castrate-Resistant Prostate Cancer. The addition of lenalidomide to docetaxel and prednisone is proposed to increase the life expectancy of these subjects.
NCT01039688
This study is designed to compare the effectiveness of the experimental drug, CP-690,550, to methotrexate in preventing joint damage and improving symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis. This study will also compare the safety of CP-690,550 with methotrexate.
NCT02870205
Study to evaluate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of GSP 301 NS compared with placebo NS and individual monotherapy formulations for the treatment of Seasonal Allergic Rhinitis (subjects 12 years of age and older)
NCT00111839
This open-label, multicenter, randomized, controlled, Phase II study is planned to answer questions about how the drug, matuzumab (EMD 72000), works and is part of an effort aimed to develop better treatment for advanced lung cancer by combining matuzumab, a monoclonal antibody, with a chemotherapy treatment, called pemetrexed.

The study will be conducted at multiple sites in the United States and will enroll approximately 102 subjects with Type 2 diabetes who are either treatment-naïve, controlled with diet and exercise or treated with oral antidiabetic medications.
NCT00117572
The combined use of chemotherapeutic drugs with radiation has proven to be effective in improving overall survival and local control among patients with locally advanced head and neck cancer. Induction chemotherapy given before receiving local treatment has been shown to reduce the rate of distant failure. Many drugs have been found to prevent tumor cells from growing or dividing, although it has yet to be determined which agent, or specific combination of agents, is most effective in treating head and neck cancer. Docetaxel is a drug which has been reported to show promising activity in Phase II head and neck cancer studies. Therefore, the purpose of this trial is to compare the effectiveness of induction chemotherapy followed by chemoradiotherapy versus the same chemoradiotherapy alone in patients with locally advanced head and neck cancer.
NCT02581657
This study is a randomized, double-blind (Investigator and study subject), placebo controlled multiple dose sequential ascending dose study that will enroll up to 47 male and female subjects with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in up to four cohorts.
NCT02013258
Individuals with Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS) have been found to have a deficit of oxytocin-producing neurons and decreased oxytocin receptor gene function, so the purpose of this study is to determine if oxytocin (OT) administration will improve some of the aspects of Prader-Willi syndrome that are particularly troublesome for children and their families (the insatiable appetite and social behaviors). The research questions are: 1. Does intranasal oxytocin cause any side effects in children with PWS? 2. Does intranasal oxytocin administration alter appetite or behaviors in PWS?
