NCT01902966
The goal of this clinical research study is to learn how many patients with advanced, recurrent, incurable cervical cancer will complete questionnaires about symptoms, any anxiety, depression, and/or pain, and the quality of their lives. Researchers also want to learn how many of these patients will complete a study treatment of propranolol hydrochloride and relaxation and guided imagery sessions. Researchers also want to learn if and how propranolol hydrochloride and relaxation and guided imagery may affect cancer symptoms and any anxiety, depression, and/or pain, and quality of life. Propranolol hydrochloride is designed to block certain chemicals that affect the heart. Relaxation and guided imagery sessions are a form of relaxing meditation that involves tensing and relaxing various parts of your body from your feet to your head. In the guided imagery portion, you listen to recordings that are designed to help with calmness, control, and decreasing stress.
NCT03401229
The aim of this present study is to investigate the use of benralizumab as treatment for severe nasal polyposis. The effect of benralizumab on nasal polyps will be assessed over a 56 weeks of treatment period in patients with severe bilateral nasal polyposis who are still symptomatic despite standard of care therapy, i.e current use of intranasal corticosteroids (INCS) and prior surgery and/or use of systemic corticosteroids. The first 200 patients that complete the 56-week treatment will have a 6 month follow-up (FU) period without dosing.
NCT03998163
This is a multicenter, open-label study to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of intravenous (IV) CR845 at a dose of 0.5 mcg/kg administered after each dialysis session. The study includes an up to 12-week Treatment Period.
NCT03015961
Primary Objective: The primary objective of this study is to compare postsurgical pain control following local infiltration analgesia (LIA) with EXPAREL admixed with bupivacaine HCl versus LIA with bupivacaine HCl in adult subjects undergoing open lumbar posterior spinal fusion surgery. Secondary Objectives: The secondary objectives of this study are to compare additional efficacy, safety, and health economic outcomes following LIA with EXPAREL admixed with bupivacaine HCl versus LIA with bupivacaine HCl in adult subjects undergoing open lumbar posterior spinal fusion surgery.
NCT04334148
This is a double blind, placebo controlled study in approximately 2,000 health care workers at risk for being exposed to COVID-19. Eligible participants will be randomly assigned (1:1) to either treatment group (HCQ) or placebo in a double-blind fashion. Course of treatment is 30 days.
NCT04210232
This is a multicenter, prospective, single-arm, open-label, clinical study of the commercially available TECNIS Toric II, Model ZCU IOL. The study will be conducted in up to 1100 subjects enrolled with 1,000 subjects needing unilateral or bilateral cataract surgery across up to 50 US study sites.
NCT04350723
The aim of the COVI-PRONE Trial is to determine if early awake prone positioning in COVID-19 patients with hypoxemic respiratory failure; irrespective of the mode of oxygen delivery; reduces the need for invasive mechanical ventilation.
NCT01454102
* The study is evaluating the safety and tolerability of Nivolumab (BMS-936558) when combined with three platinum-based doublet chemotherapy regimens (Cisplatin/Gemcitabine; Cisplatin/Pemetrexed; and Carboplatin/Paclitaxel) in subjects with NSCLC. * The study is evaluating the safety and tolerability of Nivolumab as maintenance therapy in combination with Bevacizumab/Avastin that will be given after at least 4 cycles of platinum doublet chemotherapy. * The study is evaluating the safety and tolerability of Nivolumab in combination with Erlotinib among epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutation positive non-squamous NSCLC subjects and as monotherapy in subjects with NSCLC. * The study is evaluating the safety and tolerability of Nivolumab in combination with Ipilimumab in subjects with squamous and non-squamous NSCLC. * The study is evaluating the safety and tolerability of Nivolumab as switch maintenance therapy in subjects with squamous and non-squamous NSCLC. * The study is evaluating the safety and tolerability of Nivolumab as monotherapy among subjects with untreated, asymptomatic brain metastases and no evidence of cerebral edema.
NCT03633331
This phase II trial studies the side effects and how well palbociclib and letrozole or fulvestrant works in treating patients aged 70 years and older with estrogen receptor positive, HER2 negative breast cancer that has spread to other places in the body. Palbociclib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as letrozole or fulvestrant, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving palbociclib and letrozole or fulvestrant may work better in treating patients with breast cancer. The trial will explore factors other than chronologic age that can affect toxicity rates as identified using a cancer-specific geriatric assessment.
NCT03831880
This is an open label randomized 24 week crossover trial assessing the treatment burden of a weekly growth hormone injection regimen (somatrogon) compared to a daily growth hormone injection regimen (Genotropin). Approximately 90 children with growth hormone deficiency who have been stable on treatment with daily Genotropin will be enrolled.
NCT00384787
The purpose of this study is to determine the safety of, immune response to, and tolerability of an adenoviral vector HIV vaccine given after a three-dose regimen of a DNA HIV vaccine. The adenoviral vaccine will be given into arm muscle (intramuscularly), between skin layers (intradermally), or under the skin (subcutaneously). NOTE: In October 2007, vaccinations with the adenoviral vaccine, VRC-HIVADV014-00-VP, were discontinued. In December 2007, vaccinations with the DNA vaccine were also discontinued. Participants will be followed for safety and immune responses at regular study visits.
NCT03466203
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of multiple doses of LLF580 administered subcutaneously over 3 months in obese subjects. In addition, the study will also determine early efficacy signals in various metabolic diseases associated with elevated triglycerides and/or obesity.
