NCT03059940
The goal of this clinical research study is to offer lung cancer screenings to smokers who want to change their smoking behaviors. All eligible participants will receive smoking cessation counseling and may be offered at least one form of smoking cessation drug. Different forms of counseling (the delivery of counseling and access to counseling) will be compared. This is an investigational study. Participants on this study will not be prescribed smoking drugs directly by the study staff. However, participants in this study may or may not receive smoking cessation drugs, depending on what the provider thinks is in the participants best interest. All smoking cessation drugs being used are FDA approved and commercially available. It is investigational to compare the different forms of counseling participants receive. Up to 1260 participants will be enrolled in this study. All will take part at MD Anderson.
NCT04481373
Many people with HIV infection are not consistently engaged in outpatient HIV care, and avoidance, stigma and denial contribute to poor engagement in HIV care. This project will develop and pilot test a new intervention, "THRIVE," for hospitalized persons who are out of HIV care and endorse avoidance, to improve how well they stay in outpatient HIV care after discharge. If successfully developed, the intervention will undergo large scale testing in later studies and could improve the health of persons with HIV infection and help end the HIV epidemic in the United States.
NCT05502341
The goal of this clinical study is to learn more about the effects of switching to the study drugs, bictegravir (BIC) plus lenacapavir (LEN), versus current therapy (Phase 2) and BIC/LEN fixed-dose combination (FDC) versus current therapy (Phase 3) in people living with HIV (PWH).
NCT03939689
This clinical trial was done to show whether a radioactive drug (I-131-1095) that binds to prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) is useful in treating metastatic prostate cancer that is positive for PSMA. The trial enrolled men whose PSMA-positive metastatic prostate cancer had progressed while they were taking abiraterone. During the trial, all of the men took enzalutamide (standard-of-care therapy) once a day. However, some of the men also had up to 4 doses (8 weeks apart) of I-131-1095 (in addition to taking enzalutamide once a day). At specified times during the trial, all of the men had blood tests (to measure levels of prostate-specific antigen \[PSA\]) and imaging studies (to assess tumor status). The two groups of men were then compared in several ways. The main comparison was the percentage of men in each group with at least a 50% decrease in PSA levels. Other comparisons involved the response of the tumors (as seen on imaging) and overall survival. To assess safety, the number of adverse events in both groups were also compared.
NCT04580771
This phase IIA trial studies the effect of a vaccine (PDS0101) when given together with chemotherapy and radiation therapy (chemoradiation) in treating patients with stage IB3-IVA cervical cancer. Chemotherapy drugs, such as cisplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Radiation therapy uses high energy x-rays to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors. PDS0101 is a type of vaccine that is intended to help the immune system respond to human papillomavirus (HPV16)-infected cervical tumor cells. PDS0101 contains two active components: the first is called R-DOTAP (Versamune) and is included in the vaccine to boost the immune system's response against the HPV viral proteins and the second group of active components are selected small pieces of proteins (called peptides) taken from the HPV virus. Giving PDS0101 in combination with chemoradiation may work help to control cervical cancer.

NCT05932615
The objective of ENVISION is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the Navitor Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) System for treating patients with symptomatic, severe native aortic stenosis who are considered intermediate or low risk for surgical mortality. The trial will also evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the Navitor TAVI System in a valve-in-valve (ViV) application in patients with symptomatic heart disease due to failure of a surgical or transcatheter bioprosthetic aortic valve who are at high or greater surgical risk.
NCT04856410
This study investigates the effects of extended-duration spaceflight (12-month International Space Station missions) on general cognitive performance (measured with the Cognition test battery), spatial cognition, structural and functional brain changes in general, and hippocampal plasticity more specifically relative to the shorter 6-month and 2-month missions.
NCT07215611
To learn about the financial stress patients undergoing surgery to treat orthopedic cancer experience because of the costs of cancer care, and to learn about the effects of financial stress on participants quality of life.
NCT07084363
The purpose of this study is to assess the effect of quantitative block monitoring versus less expensive qualitative monitoring treatment effects on the lowest SpO2/FiO2 ratio in the PACU. The results will be incorporated into an enhanced recovery pathway for surgical patients.
NCT04887870
A Study of Sitravatinib Alone or in Combination with Other Anticancer Therapies in Advanced or Metastatic Malignancies
NCT02186847
This randomized phase II trial studies how well chemotherapy and radiation therapy given with or without metformin hydrochloride works in treating patients with stage III non-small cell lung cancer. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as carboplatin and paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors. Metformin hydrochloride may shrink tumors and keep them from coming back. It is not yet known whether chemotherapy and radiation therapy is more effective when given with or without metformin hydrochloride in treating stage III non-small cell lung cancer.
NCT05264779
The Periviable GOALS (Getting Optimal Alignment around Life Support) decision support tool (DST) is meant to facilitate informed shared decision-making regarding neonatal resuscitation for families facing the threat of a periviable delivery (deliveries occurring between 22 0/7 - 25 6/7 weeks gestational age). It is designed for parents to review independent of their clinician, and is intended to supplement, not replace, clinician counseling. The focus of the DST is the provision of patient-centered outcomes information and assistance with values clarification regarding neonatal outcomes. This is a multisite, randomized controlled trial to test the effect of the Periviable GOALS DST on shared decision making and decision satisfaction. The investigators hypothesize that participants who utilize the GOALS DST will have improved shared decision making and higher decision satisfaction.
NCT05729373

This study will be accepting both male and female subjects between the ages of 18 years and 65 years old. The study will be held in Approximately 50 global study centers and approximately 15 additional centers for a separate Japan population. Participation in the study can be up to approximately 12 weeks.

This study has two parts with distinct study objectives and study design. In part A, odronextamab is studied as an intravenous (IV) administration with a dose escalation and a dose expansion phase for B-NHL and CLL. The dose escalation phase for B-NHL and the CLL study are closed at the time of protocol amendment 17. In part B, odronextamab is studied as a subcutaneous (SC) administration with a dose finding and a dose expansion phase for B-NHL.
