This study will evaluate the potential of RO4607381 to reduce cardiovascular morbidity and mortality in stable coronary heart disease patients with recent Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) and evaluate the long term safety profile of the drug. Eligible patients in stable condition will be randomized to receive either RO4607381 600mg po or placebo po, daily, together with a background of standard medication for ACS (including aspirin, antihypertensives and statins). The anticipated time on study treatment is 2+ years, and the target sample size is 15,600 individuals.
NCT01708603

NCT02345252
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the noninferiority of switching to emtricitabine/rilpivirine /tenofovir alafenamide (FTC/RPV/TAF) fixed-dose combination (FDC) as compared to continuing FTC/RPV/tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF) FDC (FTC/RPV/TDF) in virologically suppressed HIV-1 infected participants.
NCT03020719
The purpose of this randomized, placebo-controlled (Phase II) study will be to further evaluate the effects of oral glutathione on growth in children with CF.
NCT02830880
The purpose of this study is to assess if using anti-1-amino-3-\[18F\]fluorocyclobutane-1-carboxylic acid (FACBC or fluciclovine) PET scan will be useful in determining if participants are responding to chemotherapy treatment. Investigators will enroll participants whose cancer has been treated with hormone therapy and now the cancer is not responding to the treatment (castration -resistant), and so therefore will be started on chemotherapy. Investigators aim to enroll thirty participants in this study.
NCT02467387
A phase IIa study to assess the safety and preliminary efficacy of intravenous dose of ischemia-tolerant Allogeneic Mesenchymal Bone Marrow Cells in subjects with non-ischemic heart failure.
NCT00423046
HPV infection has been established as a necessary cause of cervical cancer. GSK Biologicals has developed an HPV-16/18 L1 VLP AS04 vaccine (Cervarix TM) which targets the 2 most common oncogenic HPV types (HPV-16 and HPV-18), found in \> 70%, approximately, of all cervical cancers. Recently, Merck's HPV vaccine Gardasil® \[quadrivalent human papillomavirus (HPV-6,11,16,18 L1 VLP) recombinant vaccine\] has been approved by the FDA for prevention of genital tract cancers and pre-cancers and genital warts in females. Although the GSK HPV vaccine and Gardasil® have different compositions and are expected to have different efficacy profiles, each vaccine targets prevention of HPV-16 and 18 genital tract cancers and pre-cancers. Therefore, a comparison of the immunogenicity of the two vaccines is warranted. This Phase 3b study is designed to compare the immunogenicity of the GSK vaccine (HPV-16/18) to Gardasil® in healthy adult females 18-45 years of age. The Protocol Posting has been updated as the study will be extended by 3 additional years.
NCT01848483
The overall goal of this project is to implement and test the efficacy of an enhanced comprehensive multidisciplinary early palliative care (EPC) package that includes four motivational interviewing sessions (MI) for persons diagnosed with AIDS. We posit that the innovative EPC will improve quality of life, clinical and psychosocial outcomes and advance care planning in a cost effective manner and could promote engagement and retention in HIV care. If successful, it could serve as a model of early palliative care for persons with AIDS in the US.
NCT03064802
A multicenter patient registry was created with aim of documenting how spine and neurosurgeons are utilizing Burst Biologics products along with patient outcomes. These include radiographic measures such as fusion outcome, instrumentation integrity, and clinical outcomes (symptom and function improvement) based on surgeon and patient based outcome assessments.
NCT02404220
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the safety of entospletinib in combination with vincristine (VCR), and dexamethasone (DEX) in adults with previously treated relapsed or refractory B-cell lineage acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). This is a dose escalation study in which after 2 induction cycles participants may be put on maintenance for up to 36 cycles if they have obtained clinical benefit from the treatment.
NCT01343693
This study is being performed to document the outcomes of subjects using our MaxAn Anterior Cervical Plate and assess them for Adjacent level Disease. All subjects will be followed for 2 years.
NCT03037203
This study is a 4-week, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, ascending dose, 4-period crossover study designed to evaluate the safety, tolerability, efficacy, and PK of JZP-110 (75, 150, and 300 mg) in the treatment of excessive sleepiness in adult subjects with idiopathic PD.
NCT02706717
The purpose of the study was to evaluate whether the probiotic Visbiome Extra Strength reduces inflammation in HIV-infected men and women when compared to a placebo (inactive medication like a dummy pill). The study evaluated whether taking Visbiome Extra Strength by mouth for 24 weeks was safe and well-tolerated for HIV-infected persons on antiretroviral therapy (ART). Probiotics are germs such as yeast or bacteria that are found in food and supplements that are used to improve the health of the digestive system. Many people refer to probiotics as "helpful bacteria." These bacteria live in the body and help the body work normally. In some medical conditions, including HIV infection, helpful bacteria are replaced with bacteria that can change the normal intestinal function and increase inflammation. The investigators tested whether giving a probiotic restored normal intestinal function and decreased inflammation.
NCT01310244
To define Phase 1/2 Maximum Tolerated Dose Study of Belinostat (PXD-101) in Combination with Paclitaxel plus Carboplatin in Chemotherapy-Naive Patients with Stage IV Non-Small-Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC).

NCT03182920
The purpose of this study is to look at the amount of study drug that gets into the blood stream and how long it takes the body to get rid of it by comparing the results of healthy elderly participants to those of healthy young participants. The tolerability of the study drug will be evaluated. Information about any side effects that may occur will also be collected. This study will last up to approximately 19 days, not including screening. This study requires either one (Group 2) or two (Group 1) stays at the clinic each of at least four days/three nights. Participants will return for a follow-up seven days after last dose of study drug. Screening is required within 28 days prior to Day 1. This study is for research purposes only and is not intended to treat any medical condition.
