The study is designed as an open-label, randomized, parallel, two arm, multicenter, international Phase 3 study in patients with recurrent or metastatic breast cancer previously treated with cytotoxic chemotherapy regimens. The primary study objective is to compare overall survival of patients who receive NKTR-102 given once every 21 days to patients who receive treatment of Physician's Choice selected from a list of seven single-agent intravenous therapies.

Teduglutide is an investigative medicine being evaluated as a possible treatment for people with parenteral nutrition (PN) dependent Short Bowel Syndrome (SBS). Teduglutide is similar to a protein the body makes. When people have SBS, their bodies do not make enough of the protein and they have trouble getting nutrients and fluids from the food they eat and drink. This study was designed to provide evidence of efficacy, safety, and tolerability of teduglutide 0.05 mg/kg daily in SBS subjects.

Patients who have had a total ankle joint replacement surgery typically have limited movement in their ankles possibly due to the fact that commonly used ankle joint prosthetic devices only allow limited axes of motion. This study will evaluate the ability of a Scandinavian Total Ankle Replacement (STAR) mobile-bearing prosthesis and INBONE 2 fixed-bearing prosthesis to restore triplanar motion in the tibiotalar (ankle) joint following a surgical arthroplasty (total joint replacement) procedure. 3D X-ray video motion analysis will be utilized to quantify range of motion measurements in two groups of ankle prosthesis users and a group of matched control participants.

This is a research study testing SABER-Bupivacaine (an experimental pain-relieving medication). SABER-Bupivacaine is designed to continuously deliver bupivacaine, a common local anesthetic, for a few days in order to treat local post-surgical pain. The purpose of this study is to investigate safety (side effects) associated with the use of SABER-Bupivacaine and how well it works in reducing pain and opioid-related side effects following various kinds of abdominal surgeries.
