NCT02444793
This study is a Phase 1b, open label, multi center, multi-dose trial designed to estimate the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) and select the recommended dose for phase 2 (RP2D) investigations of PF- 05082566 in combination with KW-0761 (mogamulizumab) in patients with advanced solid tumors. Once the MTD of PF-05082566 administered in combination with KW-0761 is estimated (dose finding), one or more expansion cohorts of patients with selected advanced solid tumors (dose-expansion ) will be enrolled to further characterize the combination in term of safety profile, anti tumor activity, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and biomarkers modulation.
NCT03327727
The purpose of the trial is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of a new antifungal with a novel mechanism of action in immunocompromised adults with invasive aspergillosis.
NCT01634555
The purpose of this study is to assess the effect of concomitant ramucirumab (IMC-1121B) on the pharmacokinetics of irinotecan and its metabolite SN-38 when coadministered with folinic acid and 5-fluorouracil, in participants with advanced malignant solid tumors resistant to standard therapy or for which no standard therapy is available.
NCT01046669
To compare the safety and efficacy of the PMX cartridge based on mortality at 28-days in subjects with septic shock who have high levels of endotoxin and are treated with standard medical care plus use of the PMX cartridge, versus subjects who receive standard medical care alone.
NCT01881230
The purpose of this study is to compare the safety and efficacy of nab-paclitaxel in combination with either gemcitabine or carboplatin to the combination of gemcitabine and carboplatin as first line treatment in female subjects with triple negative metastatic breast cancer (TNMBC) or metastatic triple negative breast cancer.
NCT00099164
Women pregnant with twins or triplets are at high risk of preterm birth, yet no intervention or approach has served to reduce this risk. A recently completed trial by the NICHD sponsored Maternal Fetal Medicine Units (MFMU) Network has, for the first time, demonstrated a treatment that substantially reduces the rate of preterm birth in women at high risk for preterm delivery (i.e. progesterone therapy). Preterm birth was reduced by 35% among progesterone-treated women with a singleton pregnancy when compared with women receiving placebo. The current trial compares weekly treatment by injection of progesterone with placebo in women pregnant with twins or triplets.
NCT01076348
Safety and effectiveness will be summarized for the model 4965 lead. This study was conducted within Medtronic's System Longevity Study (SLS).
NCT01841762
SYMPHONY is prospective, multi-center, open-label, single-arm, Phase 3b psychometric validation study of the PAH-SYMPACT, a new quality of life questionnaire for patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension. Patients will be in the study for 5 1/2 months, 4 months of which they will receive macitentan, 10 mg, once daily. The primary objectives are to demonstrate the final content validity of the PAH SYMPACT instrument, to demonstrate the psychometric characteristics of reliability and construct validity of the PAH-SYMPACT instrument, and to demonstrate the ability of the PAH SYMPACT instrument to detect change. The secondary objective is to assess the safety of macitentan in patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension. The exploratory objective is to explore the effects of macitentan on PAH symptoms and their impact (as measured by the PAH-SYMPACT) in patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension.
NCT03403179
Bipolar Disorder is a major mood disorder with periodic mood episodes that may be very distressing, both to the individual and to others. When ill, the person is at particular risk for disruptions to social and occupational functioning, physical health, and even premature death. When not in an episode, individuals with BD may still be feeling well but have ongoing neurobiological processes, as well as the psychological sequelae from illness episodes, that can lead to subtle neurocognitive impairment that impedes overall functioning. This study is a test of an existing, published intervention that ameliorates deficits in functioning in euthymic bipolar individuals.
NCT00311623
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as sirolimus, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. PURPOSE: This clinical trial is studying the best dose of sirolimus and to see how well it works before surgery in treating patients with advanced localized prostate cancer.
NCT01662908
Assess the relative change in thrombus volume as determined by two assessments (Baseline and Day 14-21) with magnetic resonance venography (MRV) in subjects with deep-vein thrombosis (DVT) treated with either an edoxaban monotherapy regimen or a low molecular weight (LMW) heparin/warfarin regimen.
NCT02437890
Primary objective: To assess the efficacy and safety of different dose regimens of ALX-0061 administered subcutaneously (s.c.) to subjects with moderate to severe active, seropositive systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) compared to placebo. Secondary objectives: To assess the pharmacokinetics (PK), pharmacodynamics (PD), immunogenicity, flare rate, steroid reduction and health-related quality of life, with different dose regimens of ALX-0061.
NCT01056328
The purpose of this study is to test the safety and effectiveness of an Irrigated Ablation System for the treatment of symptomatic paroxysmal atrial fibrillation.
NCT01990612
A randomized clinical trial to assess whether elective induction of labor at 39 weeks of gestation compared with expectant management will improve outcomes.
NCT01270971
The purpose of this study is to determine whether AN2690 topical solution is a safe and effective treatment for onychomycosis of the toenail.
NCT00925054
The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether weekly injections of phenylalanine ammonia lyase (rAvPAL-PEG) can reduce blood phenylalanine concentrations in PKU subjects and whether repeated administration is safe.
NCT00504556
This study is to assess the safety of a potential new drug DU-176b for the prevention of stroke/systemic embolic event (SEE) in individuals with non-valvular atrial fibrillation (AF). The duration is 3 months of treatment and a 30 day follow-up visit.
