NCT03181022
The purpose of the Tailored Motivational Interviewing Project (TMI) is to develop an implementation intervention to increase evidence-based patient-provider communication strategies using a Motivational Interviewing (MI) framework.
NCT01310231
The purpose of this study is to determine if the addition of metformin to standard chemotherapy improves progression free survival in women with metastatic breast cancer.
NCT03380429
GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) in collaboration with Propeller Health has developed a sensor, which can clip on to the ELLIPTA® dry powder inhaler (DPI) and monitor the time and date that the ELLIPTA DPI cover is fully opened and closed. Additionally, a sensor will be attached to the rescue medication metered dose inhaler (MDI). The data from both sensors will be fed back to the subject via an application (app) on smart phone and will be reviewed by the subject's health care professional (HCP) via an online dashboard. The sensors, app, dashboard and systems to provide data comprise the CIS. This study will be the first to evaluate the effect of CIS on adherence to maintenance therapy in subjects with uncontrolled asthma. This is an open-label, randomized, parallel group study in asthmatic subjects currently on a fixed dose inhaled corticosteroid (ICS)/long-acting beta 2 agonist (LABA) maintenance therapy. Eligible subjects will receive RELVAR®/BREO® maintenance therapy via ELLIPTA DPI and salbutamol rescue medication via MDI with sensors attached to both inhalers during the run-in period, which may last for up to 3 months. Eligible subjects will then be randomized into five treatment arms depending on whether the data, from RELVAR/BREO ELLIPTA or RELVAR/BREO ELLIPTA and salbutamol MDI, is fed back to the subject or subject and HCP, or not at all. The treatment period for the study is approximately 6 months and there will be a follow-up period one week post last visit. The total duration of a subject in the study will be approximately 9 months. RELVAR, BREO and ELLIPTA are registered trademarks of GlaxoSmithKline group of companies.
NCT02064413
To evaluate the safety and successful placement rate of Essure Model ESS310 device and any factors that may influence the successful placement rate of this device.
NCT02808819
The purpose of this study is to continue to characterize the safety profile of benralizumab administration and monitor the pharmacodynamic activity of the drug in those asthma patients who remain on treatment for at least 16 weeks and not more than 40 weeks in the predecessor study D3250C00021 (BORA, NCT02258542).
NCT02805179
This is a study to determine the safety and effectiveness of high-dose radiation therapy (RT) with concurrent temozolomide in patients with newly diagnosed glioblastoma.
NCT01690910
This is a 10-week pilot study for a randomized non-blinded controlled clinical trial to assess whether use of the Rifton Gait Trainer will improve the incidence of mobilization of critically ill ventilator dependent patients in the intensive care units (ICUs) and improve important patient outcomes. The pilot study is designed to assess the feasibility and logistics of doing a study of this nature in the ICU; it will also provide the means to obtain estimates of outcome effect sizes, number of repeated measures, time between repeated measures, and intra-subject and intra-unit correlations, to be used for sample size calculations.
NCT03742024
This is a multi-center registry that will prospectively collect regulatory compliant data from children and adolescents with migraine. This study will enroll approximately 200 participants from approximately 20 sites and will examine migraine symptoms, therapeutics used, and biomarkers associated with migraine.
NCT03194373
The purpose of this study is to test the effectiveness (how well the drug works), safety, and tolerability of the investigational drug combination of palbociclib (Ibrance) plus carboplatin in patients with metastatic head and neck squamous cell cancer.
NCT02452866
This is a Phase 3, multi-center, prospective, open-label study to evaluate the safety of SYM-1219 granules containing 2 grams of secnidazole in women and postmenarchal adolescent girls with bacterial vaginosis.
NCT03188185
This study will evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of adjunctive ALKS 5461 in adults who have treatment refractory MDD.
NCT02443155
This trial is conducted globally. The aim of this trial is to assess the clinical proof-of-principle of NNC0114-0006 and liraglutide on preservation of beta-cell function in adult subjects with newly diagnosed type 1 diabetes mellitus.
NCT02685267
This is a prospective randomized phase II clinical trial where patients who are receiving enzalutamide in the pre-chemotherapy space are randomized upon objective progression (radiographic and/or clinical per PCWG2 criteria) to docetaxel/prednisone alone or the same combination plus enzalutamide. The primary aim is to evaluate whether continuing enzalutamide in combination with docetaxel in patients who failed or progressed while on enzalutamide would increase progression-free survival (PFS) by 4 months. The secondary end points are PSA responses, percent of patients alive at 1 and 2 years, decline in circulating tumor cells (CTCs), and quality of life (QOL) using validated scales.
NCT04009577
The primary objective of the study is to evaluate the proportion of adult \[greater than or equal to (\>=) 18 years\] participants with insomnia disorder taking zolpidem tartrate immediate release (ZOL-IR) or zolpidem tartrate extended release (ZOL-ER), intermittently or frequently, who transition to lemborexant 5 milligram (mg) (LEM5) or 10 mg (LEM10) after 2 weeks of receiving LEM.
NCT02787213
Prospective multicenter observational study to further develop and validate a preterm birth risk predictor, using a preterm cutoff at 37 0/7 weeks gestation and at 35 0/7 weeks gestation. A single maternal peripheral blood sample will be collected for analysis. Data related to potential risk factors for preterm birth will be obtained through maternal interview and review of medical records. Subjects will be followed through the delivery process to assess the course of pregnancy, labor, and to document any related maternal complications. Neonatal outcomes will be gathered from the medical record for up to 28 days of life or discharge, whichever occurs first.
NCT01438112
The use of a designed viral vector that can destroy cancer cells while leaving normal cells largely unharmed. The virus also stimulates an immunological response by producing a special factor (GM-CSF) to attract and promote the development of dendritic and T effector cells. It forms the hypothesis that this regimen may be used for people who have failed current forms of treatment and are recommended for cystectomy. It is with hope that this novel therapy will be able to delay or potentially avoid cystectomy for this patient population. Bladder instillation of this agent causes little long lasting side effects and may drastically improve the stimulation of the immune system for local cancer cell death as well as destroying those tumor cells that may have travelled to regional lymph nodes or distant organs.
NCT03419403
The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of several ophthalmologic prophylactic treatment strategies for the management of ocular side effects (OSEs) in participants with epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)-amplified glioblastoma (GBM) who were being treated with depatuxizumab mafodotin (ABT-414).
NCT01607073
This study will assess how well the drug verapamil can improve control of seizures and dysautonomia symptoms in children and young adults diagnosed with Dravet syndrome. The safety of verapamil when given with all concomitant medications will also be assessed.
