NCT01833169
The purpose of this signal seeking study was is to determine whether treatment with BKM120 demonstrates sufficient efficacy in select pathway-activated solid tumors and/or hematologic malignancies to warrant further study.
NCT02074410
The purpose of this study is to determine the safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of OMS643762 (the study drug) in subjects with Huntington's disease (HD).
NCT01585766
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of ascending intravenous (IV) and subcutaneous (SC) doses of MEDI-551 in adult subjects with relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS).
NCT00384839
The purpose of this research study is to find out what effects (good and bad) Vidaza has on patients with prostate cancer. This investigational drug is not approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of prostate cancer; however, it is approved in myelodysplastic syndrome - a bone marrow disease. The pharmaceutical company involved in this study, Pharmion Corporation, is the manufacturer of Vidaza.
NCT00100659
The purpose of this study is to determine the safety and efficacy of peginterferon alfa-2a (PEG-2a) in combination with ribavirin (RV) and PEG-2a alone for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C virus (CHC) infection in children. The purpose of this study is also to determine whether PEG-2a in combination with RV or PEG-2a alone will result in a longer response rate in children with CHC.
NCT01345929
This is a Phase 3, multicenter, prospective, randomized, double-blind, double dummy study of CXA 201 IV infusions (1500 mg q8h) versus levofloxacin IV infusions (750 mg qd) for the treatment of adults with a cUTI (including pyelonephritis).
NCT01576406
This study is designed to evaluate the potential effect of hepatic impairment on the pharmacokinetics and safety of crizotinib in advanced cancer patients. Advanced cancer patients with mild, moderate or severe liver dysfunction as well as patients with normal liver function will be enrolled in this study.
NCT01147640
A Phase 2, multicenter, prospective, randomized, double-blind study of CXA-101/ tazobactam (1000/500 mg q8h) and metronidazole (500 mg q8h) IV infusion vs. meropenem IV infusion (1000 mg q8h) and a matching saline placebo (q8h) in the treatment of cIAI in adult subjects. Dose adjustments for subjects with mild renal impairment are not necessary and subjects with more severe degrees of renal failure are excluded.
NCT00965380
The purpose of this study is to utilize Trinity Evolution in conjunction with an interbody spacer and supplemental posterior fixation of the surgeon's choice and to follow the patients to measure the clinical outcomes and rate of fusion. The hypothesis of the study is that Trinity Evolution combined with an interbody spacer and supplemental posterior fixation will result in fusion rates and clinical outcomes similar to those with other routinely used autograft and allograft materials including: fusion, improvement in pain and function, maintenance of lower extremity neurological function, and absence of serious adverse events related to the use of the Trinity Evolution product.
NCT01655823
Chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) is a major dose-limiting side effect of many chemotherapeutic agents including vincristine, paclitaxel, cisplatin, oxaliplatin, bortezomib and ixabepilone. Chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy commonly occurs in greater than 40% of patients. To improve the peripheral neuropathy, the chemotherapy dosing is often either decreased or discontinued potentially affecting tumor responsiveness, prognosis, and survival. There is an unmet medical need for treatment of cancer patients with chemotherapy induced neuropathic pain (CINP) and the proposed study will investigate the efficacy and safety of multiple dose levels of tetrodotoxin (TTX) versus placebo in moderate to severe neuropathic pain caused by chemotherapy.
NCT03175354
This is a randomized, double-blind, vehicle-controlled study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of ALX-101 Gel 1.5% and 5% and a matching ALX-101 Gel Vehicle when applied topically twice daily for 42 days to adult and adolescent subjects with moderate atopic dermatitis.
NCT02109562
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of RBP-7000 compared with placebo in the treatment of patients with schizophrenia. This will be a double-blind, placebo-controlled, Phase III study with 90 mg and 120 mg doses of RBP-7000 compared with placebo over an 8-week treatment period.
NCT00790842
Patients with previously treated multiple myeloma and kidney dysfunction will be treated with lenalidomide and low-dose dexamethasone. Phase I will study the side effects and best dose of lenalidomide when given together with low-dose dexamethasone therapy. After the maximum safe and tolerated dose is found in Phase I, the study will proceed to Phase II. Phase II will study how well the the treatment works in patients with previously treated (relapsed or refractory) multiple myeloma and kidney dysfunction. Biological therapies, such as lenalidomide, may stimulate the immune system in different ways and stop cancer cells from growing. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as dexamethasone, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving lenalidomide together with dexamethasone may kill more cancer cells. Lenalidomide and dexamethasone may have different effects in patients who have changes in their kidney function.
NCT01406561
The purpose of this study is to assess the effect of OMS103HP solution for Injection (OMS103HP-S) and function as measured by the Knee Osteoarthritis Outcome Survey (KOOS) Symptoms subscale through Day 30 compared with vehicle irrigation solution for knee symptoms in subjects undergoing meniscectomy.
NCT01030562
The purpose of this study is to gain a better understanding of the body's response to a human papillomavirus (HPV) (sexually transmitted disease), vaccine and booster shot. The study will also determine factors related to adolescents not following vaccination schedules. The HPV vaccine requires 3 doses (shots). Girls sometimes receive the 3 shots at the recommended time and sometimes girls receive the shots at non-recommended times. This study will evaluate if getting the shots at non-recommended times affects the level of protection provided by the vaccine. Participants will include about 1400 girls 9-17 years old receiving a third dose of HPV vaccine from their primary care clinician. The parent/legal guardian of each subject may answer a questionnaire related to the vaccine schedule. Study procedures include: medical history, questionnaires and blood draws. Participants will be involved in the study for about 6 months from time of enrollment.
NCT00720356
RATIONALE: Monoclonal antibodies, such as bevacizumab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. Bevacizumab may also stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking blood flow to the tumor. Erlotinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Giving bevacizumab together with erlotinib may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well giving bevacizumab together with erlotinib works after radiation therapy and temozolomide in treating patients with newly diagnosed glioblastoma multiforme or gliosarcoma.
NCT00796510
As sitaxsentan is the agent most highly selective for ETA (Endothelin Type A (receptor)), and does not significantly impact sildenafil pharmacokinetics the combination of most promise for pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) therapy is these two oral drugs administered in combination.
NCT00214500
Study to evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics of migalastat hydrochloride (HCl) (migalastat) in participants with Fabry disease.
NCT00394524
The study is a multicenter, prospective, open-label randomized study to compare the safety and efficacy of continuous insulin infusion (CII) via a computer-guided(Glucommander) and a standard paper form protocol among the patients hospitalized in a medical intensive care unit (ICU). .
NCT03377426
