NCT02141854
The primary objective of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of fluticasone propionate (Fp) multidose dry powder inhaler (MDPI) and fluticasone propionate/salmeterol xinafoate (FS) MDPI when administered over 12 weeks in patients 12 years of age and older with persistent asthma.
NCT01178125
This is an open-label, single treatment study. All subjects will receive 12 months of oral contraceptive therapy with DR-102. Study participants will receive physical and gynecological exams, including Pap smear. During the study, all participants will be required to complete a daily diary.
NCT03308968
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of monthly and quarterly subcutaneous (sc) injections of fremanezumab compared with sc injections of placebo in participants with chronic migraine (CM) or episodic migraine (EM) who have responded inadequately to 2 to 4 classes of prior preventive treatments. Approximately equal numbers of participants from each subgroup (CM and EM) are randomized in blinded-fashion 1:1:1 into one of 3 treatments for the subgroup - 2 active treatments and 1 placebo treatment- consisting of monthly injections for 3 months (up to Week 12). Then all participants continue into an open-label extension of 3 months (up to Week 24) during which everyone is administered sc injections of fremanezumab.
NCT02929329
The purpose of this study is to determine if treatment with omecamtiv mecarbil when added to standard of care is well tolerated and superior to placebo in reducing the risk of cardiovascular death or heart failure events in adults with chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF).
NCT02969408
This is a Phase 3B, 12-week, multicenter, open-label study to evaluate the relationship between albuterol sulfate (ABS) eMDPI and clinical asthma exacerbation (CAE) in adult participants at least 18 years of age with exacerbation-prone asthma. The ABS eMDPI dose will be 90 micrograms (mcg), 1 to 2 inhalations every 4 hours as needed, but participant dosing will not be limited to this dosing regimen. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the relationship between albuterol dosing and CAE.
NCT02269163
Phase 3 multicenter, open-label study of safety, tolerability, efficacy, and pharmacokinetics (PK) of ProMetic's Immune Globulin Intravenous (Human) 10%, the investigational medicinal product \[IMP\]), in Adults and Children with Primary Immunodeficiency Diseases (PIDD).
NCT02212574
Participants enrolling on this study will receive standard of care chemotherapy for Wnt positive medulloblastoma without the radiation therapy or the weekly chemotherapy that is given during radiation therapy.
NCT02561234
This is the first-in-human study of the safety of increasing dose levels of AEB1102 in patients with advanced cancers. The study will also evaluate the amounts of AEB1102 in blood, the effects of AEB1102 on blood amino acid levels and tumor growth.
NCT00339040
The purpose of this study is to determine the safety of and immune response to a new human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine in HIV (Human immunodeficiency virus) infected children between the ages of 7 and 12 years.
NCT00992017
Both pregnant women and people infected with HIV are at increased risk of viral infection, including influenza infection. Pregnant women infected with HIV may be at particular risk of infection from the new H1N1 influenza virus. This study tested the safety and immunogenicity of an H1N1 influenza vaccine in pregnant women infected with HIV.
NCT03938857
Multicenter, double blind randomized controlled trial of fentanyl vs. fentanyl + dexmedetomidine as the initial regimen for maintenance of sedation in mechanically-ventilated, critically ill children. This trial will evaluate the opioid-sparing effect of dexmedetomidine when administered with fentanyl to mechanically ventilated, critically ill children. Study drug or placebo will be administered with fentanyl, which will be titrated to achieve sedation scores consistent with response to light touch. Plasma samples and bedside assessments for pain, sedation, and delirium will be collected.
NCT03452943
This is a study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of deutetrabenazine (TEV-50717) tablets for the reduction of motor and phonic tics associated with TS in children and adolescents 6 through 16 years of age.
NCT02522780
The purpose of this trial was to investigate the safety and efficacy of mesalamine 2 g extended release granules (sachet) once a day (QD) for maintenance of clinical and endoscopic remission in subjects with UC. The duration of treatment for each subject was 6 months.
NCT02163226
The goal of this clinical research study is to learn if 1 large dose of radiation therapy is better at controlling pain from cancer that has spread to the bones than 10 smaller doses of radiation. Researchers also want to learn if 1 large dose of radiation therapy can help decrease the use of drugs to control the pain, and if it can help to control the disease.
NCT01828073
The purpose of this study was to determine the washout pharmacokinetics (PK) and safety of in utero/intrapartum exposure to maternal raltegravir (RAL) in infants born to pregnant women with HIV infection who received RAL 400 mg twice daily. The study also provided data for the development of an infant RAL starting dosing regimen for IMPAACT P1110 (NCT01780831).
NCT00766597
Complications with current HIV antiretroviral therapy have left many children and adolescents with limited therapeutic options due to drug resistance. The purpose of this study is to test the effectiveness and safety of Vicriviroc (VCV), an HIV entry inhibitor and CCR5 co-receptor antagonist.
NCT04353206
This study will assess the feasibility of administering multiple doses of convalescent plasma (from people who have recovered form SARS-CoV-2) to Covid-19 positive patients in the Intensive Care Unit receiving mechanical ventilation. Donor plasma will not be obtained under this protocol, but all plasma used will follow FDA guidelines for Investigational COVID-19 Convalescent Plasma use. Patients may receive single or double plasma units infused on days 0, 3, and 6. This decision may be based on availability of blood plasma. The primary objective of this study is feasibility. Feasibility will be assessed based on the proportion of subjects who consent and receive at least one dose of convalescent plasma. The study will be declared 'feasible' if at least 80% of subjects who consent receive at least one dose. The secondary study endpoint is overall survival at day 60 after first dose of convalescent plasma. Respiratory status and overall clinical status will be reviewed during follow up on days 14, 28, and 60.
NCT03101358
This study evaluates a topical nanoparticle paclitaxel ointment (SOR007) for the treatment of cutaneous metastases from non-melanoma cancer in adults. Three concentrations of SOR007 will be evaluated in dose-rising cohorts of three. An expanded cohort will treat additional subjects at the maximum tolerated dose.
NCT01632995
This study will assess the uptake, acceptability, safety, and feasibility of HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), consisting of a once-daily fixed-dose combination tablet of emtricitabine (FTC)/tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF), administered at sexually transmitted disease (STD) clinics and a community health center in the United States.
NCT01571414
Tuberculosis (TB) is a global public health concern and developing new treatment regimens is an important research priority. PA-824 is an experimental TB medication. This study will evaluate the safety and tolerability of PA-824 when combined with efavirenz (EFV) or ritonavir-boosted lopinavir (LPV/r), which are medications used to treat HIV infection, or rifampin (RIF), which is a medication used to treat TB. Study researchers will examine the safety and tolerability of these drug combinations and how the medications affect the levels of PA-824 in the blood.
