NCT03610737
Prospective, multicenter, randomized controlled clinical study examining functional improvement in lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS) patients with neurogenic claudication who are treated with the MILD procedure plus conventional medical management (CMM) compared to those treated with CMM alone, as the control. Subjects in the control group are able to crossover and receive MILD after completion of 12-month follow-up. The study will provide objective functional improvement data for patients treated with the mild Procedure as first-line therapy in a real-world setting.
NCT02407457
The objective of this post-market trial is to evaluate Endologix AFX endovascular AAA system with anatomical fixation against other approved Endovascular systems with proximal fixation. Multiple U.S clinical centers will be involved in the trial to include a broad range of experience. Imaging data will be evaluated by an independent core lab.
NCT02548351
The primary objectives of this study are to evaluate the effect of Obeticholic Acid treatment compared to placebo on 1) histological improvement and 2) liver-related clinical outcomes in patients with non-cirrhotic nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) with liver fibrosis.
NCT04697004
The SMR Stemless Reverse is intended for total, primary shoulder joint replacement by reducing pain and restoring shoulder articular mobility function. This is a prospective, multi-center, randomized, controlled trial to demonstrate non-inferiority of the SMR Stemless Reverse to the SMR Reverse Shoulder System. Patients with joint dysfunction who continue to experience significant symptoms despite an appropriate course of non-operative management are eligible. Patients will be considered enrolled into the study when an ICF has been signed, all inclusion criteria are met and no exclusion criteria are present including intraoperative exclusion criteria, and the patient is randomized into either the SMR Stemless Reverse (investigational) group, the SMR Reverse Shoulder System (control) group or is part of the roll-in population. Enrollment is expected to take approximately 24 months.
NCT04143594
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of lenacapavir (formerly GS-6207) containing regimens in people living with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) (PLWH).
NCT05762718
The purpose of this study is to learn more about how well a questionnaire about food intake works. The study team will compare questionnaire responses to several other measurements of food intake. There is a special emphasis on fruit and vegetable intake.
NCT04482595
This is a randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled, two-arm study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of BIO 300 Oral Suspension (BIO 300) as a therapy to improve lung function in patients that were hospitalized for severe COVID-19-related illness and continue to experience post-acute respiratory complications associated with Long-COVID after discharge. Patients will be randomized 1:1 to receive BIO 300 or placebo.
NCT05052606
INSIGHTS is a registry research study that collects key information on medical history for girls and women with Turner syndrome and the clinical care they receive. This includes genetic tests, imaging, medications, and more for hundreds of patients seen at a number of clinics across the US. In addition to learning a lot about the current state of health for individuals with TS, INSIGHTS serves as an infrastructure to conduct future studies are meaningful to patients and their families.
NCT03500458
Many teenagers do not get enough sleep. Obesity and diabetes are increasing in teenagers as well. This study plans to learn more about sleep and insulin resistance (insulin not working) in teenagers, and how these things may be related depending on sleep. This is important to know so that the investigators understand how sleep may play a role in health conditions like extra weight gain (increased food intake and less physical activity) and diabetes. To answer this question, the investigators plan to enroll teenagers who get \<7 hours of sleep on school nights and measure changes in insulin sensitivity and dietary intake after a week of typical sleep (sleeping on their normal school schedule) and a week of longer sleep (spending 1+ hour longer in bed each night).
NCT04776746
To investigate the safety and tolerability of continued long-term treatment with oral trofinetide in girls and women with Rett syndrome
NCT03864042
This is an open-label, 3-arm, fixed-sequence study to evaluate the effect of single and multiple oral doses of encorafenib in combination with binimetinib on the single oral dose pharmacokinetics (PK) of cytochrome P450 (CYP) enzyme probe substrates using a probe cocktail, on an organic anion-transporting polypeptide/breast cancer resistance protein (OATP/BCRP) substrate using rosuvastatin and on a CYP2B6 substrate using bupropion. The effect of multiple oral doses of the moderate cytochrome P450 (CYP) inhibitor modafinil on encorafenib in combination with binimetinib will also be assessed. The study will have 2 treatment phases, a drug-drug interaction (DDI) phase followed by a post-DDI phase.
NCT04743804
This study will investigate the efficacy and safety of ravulizumab compared to placebo in adult participants with thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA) associated with a trigger. Participants will be randomized to receive either ravulizumab plus best supportive care or placebo plus best supportive care. The treatment period is 26 weeks followed by a 26-week off-treatment follow-up period.
NCT06622265
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the performance of ECG classification algorithms and their ability to classify heart rhythms into multiple categories of rhythms and heart rates.
NCT00406549
To establish the clinical test performance characteristics of sensitivity, specificity and predictive values for direct detection of nasal Staphylococcus aureus colonization against clinical microbiology laboratory culture methods.
NCT05995405
The purpose of this study is to deliver nimodipine via IV directly into the bloodstream and to determine if this is as safe and tolerable as oral nimodipine capsules.
NCT04506905
This is a randomized, double-blind, 2-part clinical study of the safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of alternate MK-8189 titration regimens. Part 1 assessed multiple dose once-daily titration regimens of MK-8189 in young adult participants with schizophrenia. Part 2 assessed multiple once-daily doses of MK-8189 in elderly participants with schizophrenia and healthy elderly participants.
NCT03909750
Pulmonary Disorders are often categorized as Obstructive or Restrictive disorders. This study will establish two channels of investigation, one group within each type of pulmonary dysfunction. State-of-the-Art Objective analytics will be employed to track patients from baseline and 6 month intervals for up to one year. Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a lung-related disorder that is characterized by long-term, often progressive state of poor airflow. Primary symptoms include low oxygen tension, shortness of breath, productive cough, and broncho-pulmonary inflammation and interference with oxygen-carbon dioxide exchange. COPD is generally considered those who are able to better inspire air than to expel. Restrictive lung dysfunctions are generally considered those who are unable to achieve full inspiration function. Both can create some of the same symptoms, low Oxygen exchange, activity intolerance of exertion, shortness of breath (SOB), Pulmonary Hypertension, Loss of lung structure, Pneumothorax (in emphysema), may mandate supplemental Oxygen therapy, failure of airway mucus management (chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis, etc), and other failure of lung function issues. Restrictive lung disorders represent a group of pulmonary function losses which are due to acquired fibrosis, congenital fibrotic disorders, functional airway damage (scarring), vascular abnormalities in arterial/venous supply, Air pollution and tobacco smoking, chemical inhalation damage, etc. are felt to be common contributor of these issues. Diagnostic testing is based on poor airflow measured by lung function studies and whose symptoms do not improve much with anti-asthma bronchodilators, steroids, and a variety of combination of topical medications. Study is an interventional study to document the safety and efficacy of use of cSVF in chronic broncho-pulmonary disease within both groups.
NCT04360174
