NCT00478426
This phase II trial studies how well sunitinib malate works in treating patients with endometrial cancer that has come back after a period of improvement (recurrent) or has spread to other places in the body (metastatic). Sunitinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth and by blocking blood flow to the tumor.
NCT03706248
To compare the sensitivity and specificity estimates of Colvera with that of a commercially available CEA test for detection of recurrent disease in subjects with colorectal cancer that have documented recurrence or no evidence of recurrence by CT.
NCT02871973
The objective of this research is to conduct a small randomized pilot study to evaluate the feasibility of Sit Down and Play (SDP), a brief, low-cost program delivered in the primary care setting to enhance parent-child interactions and explore potential impacts on parenting behaviors.
NCT01978912
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and exploratory efficacy of KTP-001 in subjects with lumbar disc herniation.
NCT01298219
The primary purpose of the study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of lubiprostone administration in subjects with Opioid-induced Bowel Dysfunction.
NCT00613626
At this point in the treatment of extensive stage SCLC, we have reached a plateau in survival with conventional chemotherapy and newer regimens are greatly needed. It has been noted that patients with increased VEGF levels have a poorer prognosis. Anti-angiogenic agents hold significant promise in the treatment of patients with extensive stage SCLC. ZD6474, a new inhibitor of the VEGFR-2, has shown favorable action in NSCLC.
NCT02315456
The study compares anatomic outcomes of Intra Ocular Lens(IOL) placement with two methods of centration of the capsulorhexis- scanned capsule centration and pupil centration. It is hypothesized that scanned capsule centration provides more uniform(25% better) overlap of capsulorhexis margin over IOL optic compared to pupil centration.
NCT04264715
Operating room S. aureus exposure has been directly linked to postoperative infections and is therefore an important target for infection prevention. Visible light (non-ultraviolet spectrum) at 405nm has been shown to be germicidal. We hypothesize that use of this light in operating rooms will reduce S. aureus transmission occurring within and between patients and reduce surgical site infections (SSIs). Visible light is safe for routine, continual exposure, and is less harmful than sunlight. We plan to install ambient, germicidal lighting in 4 operating rooms. This ambient light is not directly applied to patients (does not involve the surgical procedure lights). Patients will undergo surgery according to usual practice. We will conduct a case-control study where operating rooms with surgeries with the lights are matched to operating rooms with surgeries without lights. In Aim 1, 4 OR-pairs will be observed each day over an anticipated 103 working days for the primary outcome of S. aureus transmission events over a total minimum study period of 5.2 months (103 working days).
NCT02384941
This Phase 3 study was intended to demonstrate superiority of either sotagliflozin high dose or low dose versus placebo on glycosylated hemoglobin A1C (A1C) reduction at Week 24 when used as an adjunct in adult participants with type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1D) who have inadequate glycemic control with insulin therapy.
NCT02798328
Observational trial to evaluate the effectiveness of the TEG6s DOAC cartridge to detect and classify the presence of DOAC drugs in a subject.
NCT02591056
The purpose of this study is to determine whether low level laser light therapy applied using the Erchonia Verju Laser combined with manual lymph drainage applied using the Iskra Medical Green PRESS 8 Lymph Drainage System is effective in reducing the circumference of the waist, hips and upper abdomen.
NCT01781975
Type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) results from the autoimmune destruction of insulin-producing ß cells. Although exogenous insulin is widely available, it is not possible for affected individuals to consistently achieve euglycemia with current technology, and thus they are at risk for devastating long-term complications. This phase II study is designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of imatinib mesylate as a novel therapy for new-onset T1DM. Imatinib is a first-in-class tyrosine kinase inhibitor. This study will explore the potential role of short-term therapy with imatinib to induce tolerance and possibly lead to a durable long-term remission of T1DM.
NCT02459899
The primary objective of this study was to define the dose leading to desirable efficacy, as measured by the change in hemoglobin A1C (A1C) between Baseline and Week 12.
NCT01094496
The major purpose of this study is to examine the anti-tumor activity of the CDX-1307 vaccine regimen when it is given before and after bladder cancer surgery. The study will also provide information about the safety of the vaccine regimen when given in combination with chemotherapy, and how it affects the immune systems.
NCT02092792
This is an open-label, multicenter, Phase I study to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and PK of escalating doses of DLYE5953A administered to patients with incurable, locally advanced, or metastatic solid malignancy that has progressed on standard therapy. The Phase I study consists of two stages: Stage 1 dose-escalation and Stage 2 expansion in selected patients. In Stage 1, a 3 + 3 dose-escalation design will be used to examine the safety, tolerability, and PK of increasing doses of DLYE5953A. In Stage 2, patients will be enrolled to further characterize the safety, tolerability, and PK of the proposed dose and schedule for future studies.
NCT01945424
The Sanofi Pasteur Quadrivalent Influenza Vaccine (QIV) Pregnancy Registry will be a prospectively recruited pregnancy surveillance program designed to collect and analyze information on vaccine exposures, pregnancy outcomes, and fetal and offspring outcomes.
NCT02989415
The aim of this study is to assess the incidence of postoperative pulmonary complications in patients undergoing mechanical ventilation during general anesthesia for robotic surgery, to characterize current practices of mechanical ventilation and to evaluate a possible association between ventilatory parameters and postoperative pulmonary complications.
NCT02523911
The purpose of this study is to investigate Suprep bowel preparation, with and without the anti-gas medication simethicone, in terms of efficacy and patient tolerability in the preparation of patients undergoing routine colonoscopy for colorectal cancer screening.
NCT01742208
This Phase 2 study was intended to assess the pharmacodynamics (PD), pharmacokinetics (PK), safety and efficacy of sotagliflozin following daily oral administration for 29 days in participants with type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM).
NCT02608034
This is a two-part, Phase 1, open-label, multicenter, two-period, one-sequence study to investigate the effect of itraconazole and rifampin on the PK of vemurafenib following multiple 960 milligrams (mg) twice daily (BID) dosing in adult participants with unresectable Stage IIIC or Stage IV metastatic melanoma positive for the BRAF V600 mutation, or other malignant tumor types that harbor a V600-activating mutation of BRAF where the participant has no acceptable standard treatment options.
