This randomized phase II trial studies how well high or standard intensity radiochemotherapy after gemcitabine hydrochloride and paclitaxel albumin-stabilized nanoparticle formulation (nab-paclitaxel) work compared with gemcitabine hydrochloride and nab-paclitaxel alone in treating patients with pancreatic cancer that cannot be removed by surgery. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as gemcitabine hydrochloride and nab-paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing or by stopping them from spreading. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells. Drugs, such as capecitabine, may make tumor cells more sensitive to radiation therapy. Giving radiation therapy in different ways and adding chemotherapy may kill more tumor cells. It is not yet known whether high intensity radiochemotherapy after gemcitabine hydrochloride and nab-paclitaxel is more effective than standard intensity radiochemotherapy after gemcitabine hydrochloride and nab-paclitaxel or gemcitabine hydrochloride and nab-paclitaxel alone in treating pancreatic cancer.

This study will investigate how consent forms and other health care documents are explained to patients. The findings will be used to create a computer program that can successfully explain consent and other health-related forms to individuals who have difficulty reading and understanding consent forms on their own as a supplement to the normal consent process done in research settings. In a prior study, the investigators delivered a similar protocol, where subjects were first consented and then given a mock consent form (administered in 1 of 3 arms: RA, ECA, or ECA + RA). Subjects in this protocol struggled with the concept of a "mock" consent process, especially after they had just completed a consent process for the study itself. The current protocol, using deception research methods, aims to provide a more pure assessment of ECA consent vs the standard (here, E-consent) by waiving consent and delivering the sham consent as if it were reality. In the context of a protocol that employs deception methods, participants in the current study would be invited as healthy volunteers, and be randomized to 1 of 2 different consent processes to evaluate the relative benefits of different approaches for informed consent. After the knowledge tests have been completed, subjects will undergo a debriefing where they are made fully aware of the deception and its purpose. At that time, subjects will also be given the opportunity to "opt out" and not have their data included in the study results.

The purpose of this study is to determine whether a mobile health educational intervention for Human PapillomaVirus (HPV) Vaccination promotion and cervical cancer screening in Primary Care settings is a feasible behavioral intervention to integrate as a primary and secondary cervical cancer prevention approach.Study Design: The investigators will conduct an open feasibility proof-of-concept trial using a single experimental group with all subjects receiving the behavioral intervention being studied. Outcome measures. The primary outcome of interest is receipt of the first dose and completion of the three-dose series of HPV vaccine within 6 month of intervention, this will be evaluated by Electronic medical review review.

The aim of this study is to demonstrate that clazosentan, administered as a continuous intravenous infusion at either 5 mg/h or 15 mg/h until Day 14 post aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH), reduces the incidence of cerebral vasospasm-related morbidity and all-cause mortality within 6 weeks post-aSAH treated by endovascular coiling. The primary endpoint of the study is the occurrence of cerebral vasospasm-related morbidity, and mortality of all-causes within 6 weeks post-aSAH, defined by at least one of the following: 1. Death (all causes). 2. New cerebral infarct(s) due to cerebral vasospasm as either the primary or relevant contributing cause, or not adjudicated to be entirely due to causes other than vasospasm. 3. Delayed ischemic neurological deficit (DIND) due to cerebral vasospasm as either the primary or relevant contributing cause, or not adjudicated to be entirely due to causes other than vasospasm. 4. Administration of a valid rescue therapy in the presence of confirmed cerebral vasospasm on angiography (DSA or CTA). An independent Critical Events Committee (CEC) will adjudicate whether or not patients meet the primary endpoint and its individual morbidity components.

Endothelin-1 is a powerful substance that may be involved in causing hemodynamic instability (problems related to unstable blood pressure) during and after open heart surgery. Tezosentan is an investigational intravenous drug that blocks the endothelin receptors. This clinical trial will assess the potential benefit of tezosentan compared with placebo in the treatment of patients undergoing open heart surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB). Treatment time is from the start of surgery up to 24 hours.

To determine if Accelerated Partial Breast Irradiation, using 3D CRT, is as effective as Whole Breast Irradiation following breast conserving surgery in women with an new histological diagnosis of ductal carcinoma in situ only or invasive breast cancer without evidence of metastatic disease. Effectiveness will be determined by the rate of ipsilateral breast tumour recurrence. General objective is to improve the convenience and quality of life of female patients who receive breast irradiation.

This is a phase IIIa, randomised, double-blind, double-dummy, parallel group multicenter study evaluating once daily FF/UMEC/VI (100 microgram \[mcg\]/62.5 mcg/25 mcg) inhalation powder versus twice daily budesonide/formoterol (400 mcg/12 mcg). The primary purpose of this study is to demonstrate improvements in lung function and health status for subjects treated with FF/UMEC/VI compared with budesonide/formoterol for 24 weeks. Once-daily 'closed' triple therapy of a Inhaled Corticosteroid/ Long-acting Muscarinic Receptor Antagonists/ Long Acting Beta-Agonist (ICS/LAMA/LABA) combination FF/UMEC/VI (100 mcg/62.5 mcg/25 mcg) in a single device is being developed with the aim of providing a new treatment option for the management of advanced (GOLD Group D) COPD which will reduce the exacerbation frequency, allow for a reduced burden of polypharmacy, convenience, and increase the potential for improvement in lung function, Health Related Quality of Life (HRQoL) and symptom control over established dual/monotherapies. Subjects meeting all inclusion/exclusion criteria and who have successfully completed all protocol procedures at the Screening Visit will enter the two-week run-in period. Following the run-in period, eligible subjects will be randomised (1:1) to one of the following double-blind treatment groups: FF/UMEC/VI 100 mcg/62.5 mcg/25 mcg via the ELLIPTA™ dry powder inhaler (DPI) once daily in the morning and placebo via reservoir inhaler twice daily OR Budesonide/formoterol 400 mcg/12 mcg via reservoir inhaler twice daily and placebo via the ELLIPTA DPI once daily in the morning. The target enrollment is 1800 randomised subjects at approximately 200 study centers globally. The total duration of subject participation will be approximately 27 weeks, consisting of a 2-week run-in period, 24-week treatment period and a 1-week follow-up period. Subjects will run-in on their existing COPD medications for 2 weeks and in addition will be provided with short acting albuterol/salbutamol to be used on an as-needed basis (rescue medication) throughout the study. Subjects will discontinue all existing COPD medications during the randomised treatment period but may continue their study supplied rescue albuterol/salbutamol. A sub-set of approximately 400 subjects will remain on blinded study treatment for up to a total of 52 weeks to provide additional long term safety data.
