NCT00627926
A Phase 3 study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of two dosing regimens of telaprevir in combination with pegylated interferon alfa 2a (Peg-IFN-alfa-2a) and ribavirin (RBV).
NCT00111020
This treatment protocol allows doctors to treat advanced kidney cancer with an investigational drug called sorafenib, BAY43-9006, which is being studied in clinical trials for kidney cancer and other kinds of cancer. This treatment protocol is not a clinical trial in which sorafenib is compared to another equal treatment. All patients in this protocol will be treated with sorafenib. In addition, data from the patients who participate in this protocol will provide additional information about the drug.
NCT00566202
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of JNJ-18038683 compared to escitalopram and placebo in patients with moderate to severe depression.
NCT00003096
RATIONALE: Analyzing the number and structure of genes found in a child's cancer cells may help doctors improve methods of diagnosing and treating children with brain tumors. PURPOSE: This clinical trial is studying the number and structure of genes in cancer cells of children with brain tumors.
NCT00420784
The PROVE3 trial is a partially double blinded, randomized, Phase 2 research study of an investigational drug, Telaprevir (VX-950) or Placebo, with Pegylated Interferon Alfa 2a (Peg-IFN-alfa-2a, Pegasys®), and Ribavirin (RBV, Copegus®) in people with genotype 1 hepatitis C who have not achieved a Sustained Viral Response (SVR) with a previous treatment of interferon therapy.
NCT00003937
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more tumor cells. Chemoprotective drugs such as dexrazoxane may protect normal cells from the side effects of chemotherapy. PURPOSE: Phase III trial to study the effectiveness of three combination chemotherapy regimens plus dexrazoxane in treating patients who have newly diagnosed nonmetastatic osteosarcoma.
NCT00499369
This randomized phase III trial is studying giving irinotecan and cetuximab together with bevacizumab to see how well it works compared with giving irinotecan and cetuximab alone in treating patients with metastatic colorectal cancer that progressed during first-line therapy. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as irinotecan, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Monoclonal antibodies, such as cetuximab and bevacizumab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. Bevacizumab may also stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking blood flow to the tumor. It is not yet known whether irinotecan and cetuximab are more effective with or without bevacizumab in treating metastatic colorectal cancer.
NCT00165958
The purpose of this trial is to compare two standard of care treatments for removing epidermal cysts. Surgical excision removes the entire cyst but requires a larger hole in the skin. A punch incision makes a smaller hole through which the cyst can be removed. The trial's purpose is to determine if one method is better than another in terms of recurrence, infection, or other side effects.
NCT01701219
This is a study of safety and efficacy of ceftaroline fosamil in Subjects with Staphylococcus aureus Bacteremia or with Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) Bacteremia persisting after at least 72 hours of vancomycin and/or daptomycin treatment.
NCT01740895
To assess the clinical value of iFR to characterize, without concomitant administration of hyperemic agents and outside a specified range of iFR values, coronary stenosis severity as determined with fractional flow reserve (FFR)
NCT00533702
The primary objective of this study is to determine the progression-free survival (PFS) of participants with previously untreated metastatic malignant melanoma when treated with IMC-1121B (ramucirumab) alone or in combination with dacarbazine.
NCT00002875
RATIONALE: Radiation therapy uses high energy x-rays to damage tumor cells. Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining radiation therapy with chemotherapy may kill more tumor cells. It is not yet known which chemotherapy regimen is more effective when combined with radiation therapy for treating medulloblastoma. PURPOSE: Randomized phase III trial to compare two combination chemotherapy treatments plus radiation therapy in treating children with newly diagnosed medulloblastoma.
NCT01442376
The primary objective is to evaluate the efficacy of two different doses of IV palonosetron in the prevention of chemotherapy induced nausea and vomiting in MEC and HEC patients through 120 hours after start of chemotherapy in single and repeated chemotherapy cycles. The secondary objectives are to evaluate the safety and tolerability of IV palonosetron in pediatric patients and evaluate the pharmacokinetics of IV palonosetron in a subset of pediatric CINV patients.
NCT01105377
This phase II trial is studying how well giving azacitidine together with entinostat works in treating patients with metastatic colorectal cancer. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as azacitidine, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Entinostat may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Giving azacitidine together with entinostat may kill more tumor cells.
NCT01202669
The purpose of this study is to collect continuous observational data during a clinical Epilepsy Monitoring Unit evaluation.
NCT00911326
The purpose of this study is to determine the false negative rate (FNR) associated with Lymphoseek-identified sentinel lymph nodes (SLNs) relative to the pathological status of non-sentinel lymph nodes in elective neck dissection (END) in head \& neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). NEO3-06 (this study) is a Phase 3 clinical trial designed to supplement NEO3-05, a completed Phase 3 clinical trial conducted in patients with breast cancer or melanoma. NEO3-05 was designed to establish Lymphoseek as an effective radio-diagnostic agent to be used in the intraoperative localization of lymph tissue (nodes) in the lymphatic pathway draining the primary site of a tumor.
NCT00539344
This is a phase 1, multi-centre, sequential cohort, open-label, dose-escalation study of the safety, tolerability, and PK of ANG1005 in patients with recurrent or progressive malignant glioma. ANG1005 will be given by IV infusion once every 21 days (1 treatment cycle). Each patient will participate in only 1 dose group and will receive up to 6 cycles of treatment provided there is no evidence of tumor progression, there is recovery to ≤Grade 1 or baseline nonhematologic, ANG1005-related toxicity (except alopecia), the absolute neutrophil count is ≥1.5 x 109/L, and the platelet count is ≥100 x 109/L.
NCT00883753
This study was an extension to study MA21573 \[NCT00750880\], which was an open label single arm study to investigate the safety, tolerability and efficacy of tocilizumab monotherapy, or combination therapy with non-biological disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDS), in patients with moderate to severe active rheumatoid arthritis. Patients who completed the 24 week core study, and had at least a moderate European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) response, were eligible to enter this long-term extension study, and received tocilizumab 8 mg/kg intravenous (iv) every 4 weeks. The anticipated time on study treatment was 1-2 years, and the target sample size was \> 500 individuals.
NCT00168337
This study will evaluate the safety and efficacy of an intravitreal implant of dexamethasone for the treatment of diabetic macular edema.
NCT00168389
