This study is a global multicenter randomized factorial double-blind, placebo-controlled trial designed to evaluate (i) efficacy and safety of nitazoxanide 600 mg administered orally twice daily for five days compared to a placebo in the treatment of acute uncomplicated influenza and (ii) efficacy and safety of combination therapy with nitazoxanide 600 mg plus Oseltamivir 75 mg co-administered orally twice daily for five days compared to nitazoxanide monotherapy (600 mg b.i.d. for 5 days) and Oseltamivir monotherapy (75 mg b.i.d. for 5 days) in the treatment of acute uncomplicated influenza.
NCT00231478
This 2 arm study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of a single intravenous injection of Kytril in preventing postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) in children. Patients will be randomized to receive a single dose of either 20 micrograms or 40 micrograms Kytril intravenously (iv) 15 minutes prior to the end of surgery with general anesthesia for tonsillectomy or adenotonsillectomy. The anticipated time on study treatment is \<3 months, and the planned sample size was 170 patients.
NCT01019109
The purpose of this study is to find out the outcomes of using the PASS LP System to correct idiopathic scoliosis. This system is a unique set of spinal instrumentation used to surgically correct the rotation and deformity of the spine that is caused by scoliosis. Also, this study wants to find out the effects this system has on the physical appearance and quality of life for patients with scoliosis.
NCT00499707
The purpose of this 32 week study is to demonstrate that fixed-dose combination treatment with rosiglitazone/metformin will safely and effectively control glycemia as first line oral therapy in subjects type 2 diabetes. The primary objective of the study is to demonstrate superiority of rosiglitazone/metformin compared to its rosiglitazone and metformin.
NCT02160340
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the prevalence of vitreomacular adhesion (VMA) in patients 40 years and older using Spectral Domain Optical Coherence Tomography.
NCT02504008
This is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, 24-week study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of AXS-02 in patients with CRPS-I.
NCT02510014
A multi-center, open-label, long-term safety study in which approximately 600 subjects diagnosed with opioid use disorder will be enrolled. Following a screening period, all subjects will receive run in SUBOXONE sublingual film followed by an initial injection of open-label high dose (300 mg) RBP-6000. The RBP-6000 monthly injection dose can be adjusted to low dose (100 mg), and back to high dose, based on the medical judgment of the Investigator. Subjects will participate in the study for either 6 or 12 months.
NCT02347761
This is a trial of 12 weeks of treatment with nebulized SUN-101 using an Investigational eFlow® Closed System (CS) nebulizer in subjects with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) according to the Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD 2014) guidelines.
NCT01185821
This study consisted of a two year dose blinded phase during which patients received one of five doses of siponimod (10, 2, 1.25, 0.5 or 0.25mg) following which patients were switched to open label treatment with siponimod 2mg for approximately a further 3 years. It will provide data on long term safety, tolerability and efficacy of siponimod in the RRMS patient population
NCT02777242
Evaluation of the safety and tolerability of testosterone enanthate (TE) following a single dose via QuickShot® Testosterone (QST) when administered by intended users in a usability study.
NCT01924182
This study compares two different ways to treat pain. The two ways are: 1. continuing to take current pain medication(s) or 2. receiving morphine, a pain medication from a drug pump (a system to deliver drug to your body) that is implanted. None of the procedures or products used in this study are experimental. The length the study will be about 25 weeks (between 5½ to 6½ months). The purpose of this study is to compare pain and opioid side effects between people who get a drug pump and people who do not get a drug pump that will stay on their current pain medication treatment.
NCT02797015
The purpose of this study is to learn about the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of RPC1063 in RMS.
NCT00114231
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as capecitabine and oxaliplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells. Oxaliplatin may make tumor cells more sensitive to radiation therapy. Giving capecitabine and oxaliplatin together with radiation therapy before surgery may shrink the tumor so it can be removed. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well giving capecitabine and oxaliplatin together with radiation therapy works in treating patients who are undergoing surgery for stage I rectal cancer.
NCT02215291
Prospective, multi-site registry with longitudinal follow up for patients undergoing EGD or endoscopy. The primary objective is to provide a collection of patient NvisionVLE™ procedural data for participating physicians, including, but not limited to, imaging data, clinical utility data, demographics, pathology, treatment, and surveillance.
NCT01661101
Patients who have myocardial injury after noncardiac surgery are at a higher risk of dying than those who do not. One in 10 patients with myocardial injury will die within 30 days of surgery. This risk of death exists up to one year after myocardial injury. There are currently no treatments or guidelines available for heart injury after surgery, but there is evidence that taking a blood-thinner can prevent some of the deaths, both in the short and long-term. The purpose of this trial is to test the effect of two drugs (dabigatran and omeprazole) that may prevent mortality, major cardiovascular complications and major upper gastrointestinal bleeding in patients who have had myocardial injury after noncardiac surgery.
NCT00306293
Eligible subjects will be randomized to receive VALTREX 1g or placebo once daily for 60 days in a two-way crossover study with a washout period of 7 days in between.
NCT01397825
This is a single-arm, open-label, multicenter, dose escalation, phase 1-2 study of alisertib (MLN8237) administered in patients with relapsed or refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL)/transformed follicular lymphoma (TFL) treated with rituximab and vincristine. The study has three parts as follows: Phase 1, Part 1: Safety lead-in cohort to evaluate alisertib (MLN8237) and rituximab. Phase 1, Part 2: Dose escalation cohort to evaluate alisertib (MLN8237) + Rituximab + Vincristine and determine Phase 2 dose. Patients with other types of B-cell lymphoma (including mantle cell or Burkitt's lymphoma may enroll in Parts 1 and 2. Phase 2: Alisertib (MLN8237) + Rituximab + Vincristine in patients with relapsed or refractory DLBCL or TFL at recommended Phase 2 dose. Note that in 2013 Sponsor decision was taken to not initiate the phase 2 portion of the trial, which would have investigated the triplet at the recommended phase 2 dose identified in part 2. This decision was based on reprioritization within the company and not on any clinical or safety outcomes observed.
NCT03154437
This open-label, multicenter expanded access program (EAP) is designed to provide emicizumab to eligible participants with hemophilia A with factor VIII (FVIII) inhibitors before it is commercially available in the United States for the indication of hemophilia A with FVIII inhibitors. Discontinuation may occur earlier if participant or physician decides to discontinue treatment or the sponsor discontinues emicizumab clinical development.
NCT01520389
This study is a Phase 1 and pharmacologic open-labeled dose-escalation trial using a "3+3" design, evaluating MM-151 at varying dose levels and frequencies, and subsequently in combination with irinotecan.
NCT03445013
