NCT01372150
This is a Double-blind Study Evaluating Desvenlafaxine Succinate (DVS SR) Sustained Release vs Placebo in the Treatment of Children and Adolescent Outpatients with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD).
NCT02477891
The objective of this study is to provide early access to daratumumab treatment and collect additional safety data while the medication is not commercially available or available through another protocol for subjects with multiple myeloma who have received at least 3 prior lines of therapy including a proteasome inhibitor (PI) and an immunomodulatory agent (IMiD) or whose disease is double refractory to both a PI and an IMiD.
NCT02283528
Patients who sustain a fracture of the lower jaw are typically treated by wiring the teeth together or using small titanium plates and screws to fix the fracture. With either technique the upper and lower teeth are held together to ensure that the fracture is held in the correct position during healing (for closed reduction) or while the plate and screws are applied (for open reduction). The teeth can be held together using Erich arch bars which are a type of braces that are temporarily wired to the existing teeth. These stay in place for 6 weeks until the fracture has healed even though the patient is able to open his mouth immediately after the surgery is complete. The alternative to the traditional Erich arch bars is a relatively new type of arch bar (Stryker Hybrid) that is screwed to the jaw bone rather than wired to the teeth. The purpose of this study is to compare the two types of arch bars in terms of the speed with which they can be applied as well as any difference in fracture healing
NCT02367183
This study is design to explore the effect of GED-0301 on clinical and endoscopic outcome and to evaluate its safety in subjects with active Crohn's disease.
NCT01609257
The purpose of this study is to determine whether the norovirus vaccine is effective in preventing acute gastroenteritis due to the experimental human Norovirus GII.4 challenge dose. The purpose is also to evaluate the safety of the vaccine and the immunogenicity of the vaccine.
NCT02730195
This phase II trial studies how well pioglitazone hydrochloride and tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) therapy works in treating patients with chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) that has come back after a period of improvement (relapsed) after a first TKI discontinuation. TKI may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking certain enzymes need for cell growth. Although TKI therapies are effective against CML, there are residual cancer cells called leukemia stem cells that are able to hide from TKIs. Pioglitazone is a drug approved by the Food and Drug Administration to treat diabetes and has been shown in laboratory studies to increase CML stem cell death when given together with TKI therapy. Giving pioglitazone with TKI therapy may be effective in treating patients with CML.
NCT02746068
This is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, 24-week study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of AXS-02 in subjects with knee osteoarthritis associated with bone marrow lesions.
NCT01284335
The purpose of this study is to determine a safe dose of LY573636 (tasisulam) when used in 5 separate combinations with an approved cancer medication for treating participants with advanced cancer. Data from this study will be reviewed for any side effects or anti-tumor activity that may be associated with the LY573636 combination treatments.
NCT03251261
To evaluate the illumigene CMV assay, using the illumipro-10 with neonates (up to 21 days of age) saliva swabs
NCT02419573
The primary objective of the trial is to determine if 72-hour survival after out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) is improved with initial endotracheal intubation (ETI) over initial laryngeal tube (LT) airway management strategies.
NCT01632306
Purpose of this phase I/II study is to test how well LY2090314 works in combination with different chemotherapies in treating participants with metastatic pancreatic cancer.
NCT02610283
This trial is designed to evaluate QPI-1002 versus placebo for the prevention of AKI in subjects who are at high risk for AKI following cardiac surgery. Half of the participants will receive QPI-1002 while the other half will receive placebo.
NCT02857816
To evaluate the NURO system for the treatment of OAB in drug naïve patients.
NCT01552681
The purpose of the study is to find out if the experimental study agent, baminercept, is effective in treating patients with Sjögren's syndrome. The study will also determine if the study agent can be safely given to patients with Sjögren's syndrome; examine how it affects symptoms of the disease; and attempt to understand how baminercept affects the underlying mechanisms of Sjögren's syndrome and the immune system.
NCT00543439
The purpose of this research study is to determine the effectiveness, safety, and pharmacokinetics (PK) of moroctocog alfa (AF-CC) in previously treated subjects, who are younger than 6 years of age, with severe or moderately severe hemophilia A.
NCT01286987
This is a single-arm, open-label study to assess the safety, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and preliminary efficacy of talazoparib in patients with advanced tumors with DNA-repair pathway deficiencies. There will be 2 parts to the study: a dose escalation phase in which the maximum tolerated dose will be defined, and a dose expansion phase.
NCT01210495
The study is designed to demonstrate that axitinib plus best supportive care is superior to placebo plus best supportive care in prolonging survival in patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma.
NCT00718159
The purpose of this study is to determine a safe dose of LY573636-sodium to be given to patients with acute myeloid leukemia and to determine any side effects that may be associated with LY573636-sodium in this patient population. Efficacy measures will also be used to assess the activity of LY573636-sodium in acute myeloid leukemia and essential thrombocythemia patients.
NCT01980511
The NeuroVISION Study will characterize the incidence, impact, and risk factors of covert stroke in adults undergoing noncardiac surgery. We will determine the incidence of acute covert stroke using an MRI study of the brain in the days following noncardiac surgery. We will characterize the epidemiology and the impact of covert stroke in patients undergoing noncardiac surgery, and its association with cerebral deoxygenation.
NCT00495040
The goal of this clinical research study is to learn if escalated/accelerated proton radiotherapy can improve the control of Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) and decrease side effects. The safety of this treatment will also be studied. Objectives: To assess the therapeutic efficacy and toxicities of proton radiotherapy with escalated/accelerated dose for patients with medically inoperable stage I (T1-2, N0,M0) NSCLC. Primary goals: 1. Improve 2 years progression free survival at the primary site, and 2. reduce acute and chronic toxicity Secondary goals: 1. Improve disease specific survival at 2 years. 2. Study the potential of pre- and post treatment PET/CT in predicting clinical outcome. 3. Study the role of biomarkers in predicting therapeutic response and toxicities.
