NCT01761162
The objective of the ProMRI Study is to demonstrate the clinical safety of the ProMRI Pacemaker System when used under specific MRI conditions.
NCT01848756
Hsp90 is a chemical in the body that is involved in the promotion of cancer. SNX-5422 is an experimental drug that blocks Hsp90
NCT01548287
This is a study where AZD5213 or placebo is given to patients with Mild Alzheimer's Disease or Mild Cognitive Impairment in a blinded and random assignment. The main study objective is to estimate the relationship of sleep duration versus dose after 4 weeks of treatment.
NCT00528398
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as idarubicin and cytarabine, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving more than one drug (combination chemotherapy) may kill more cancer cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well giving idarubicin together with high-dose cytarabine works in treating patients with acute myeloid leukemia.
NCT01382446
Examine the use of 0.12% Chlorhexidine Gluconate as an adjunct to current oral care protocol for trauma patients on ventilator support to decrease the incidence of Ventilator Associated Pneumonia and oral bacterial load.
NCT00445718
This natural history study is collecting health information about infants with adrenal masses found on prenatal and/or neonatal imaging. Gathering information over time from imaging and laboratory tests of infants with adrenal masses may help doctors learn more about the disease and plan the best treatment.
NCT01550744
The purpose of the study is to assess the effect of extending maintenance dosing intervals beyond 12 weeks on the clinical efficacy and safety of ustekinumab in subjects with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis.
NCT01427933
This is a study to compare the antitumor activity of ramucirumab (IMC-1121B) and eribulin together versus eribulin alone, in participants with locally recurrent or metastatic breast cancer.
NCT01754480
This study is designed to assess the safety and efficacy of Fibrin Sealant Grifols in patients undergoing open surgical procedures where bleeding may be present on parenchymous tissue (e.g., solid abdominal organs such as the liver). The purpose of this study is to demonstrate that Fibrin Sealant Grifols is not inferior to commercially-available oxidized cellulose pads (Surgicel®) in providing benefit in the time to hemostasis (i.e, the stoppage of bleeding). This study has a Preliminary Part (I) for study teams to become familiar with the application of Fibrin Sealant Grifols and to assess safety and a Primary Part (II) to assess the safety and efficacy of Fibrin Sealant Grifols. In both parts of the study, patients will be randomized in a 1:1 ratio to either Fibrin Sealant Grifols or Surgicel.
NCT00726934
The purpose of this study is to determine if FDA approved food safety guidelines are equivalent to a low bacterial diet (the neutropenic diet) with respect to the acquisition of infections during neutropenia in a sample of pediatric cancer patients.
NCT00539929
This is a double-blind, multicenter study to assess the efficacy and safety of E6201 topical administration to pre-identified marker lesions in adult subjects with chronic plaque type psoriasis. Treatment duration is 8 weeks, followed by a 4-week period without treatment. Pharmacokinetic samples will be obtained pre-and post treatment.
NCT01074944
The primary objective of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of once daily (QD) versus twice daily (BID) dosing of eliglustat tartrate (Genz-112638) in participants with Gaucher disease type 1 who had demonstrated clinical stability on BID dosing of eliglustat tartrate (Genz-112638). The secondary objective was to evaluate the pharmacokinetics (PK) of Genz-99067 when eliglustat tartrate (Genz-112638) was administered QD and BID in participants with Gaucher disease type 1 who had demonstrated clinical stability on BID dosing of eliglustat tartrate (Genz-112638).
NCT02776800
When elderly patients need help caring for wounds, physicians may refer patients to home health care providers. The home health provider sees the patient in the patient's home and assists the patient with wound care. Working with the patient's physician, the home health provider will use the appropriate wound covering ("dressing" or "bandage") to cover the wound. The goal of the home health provider is to ensure that the wound stays clean and progresses toward closure. The home health provider will conduct in-home patient visits at appropriate intervals to assess the status of the wound. Extensive resources are required to see patients in their own homes. If a dressing could effectively manage wounds and allow longer time between in-home visits (without affecting patient safety or progress of the wound toward closure), then resources could be saved. Thus, newer dressings are designed for longer wear times, using advanced foam pads and adhesives that help keep the dressing in place. The hypothesis of this study is that the use of Allevyn Life will decrease the number of in-home visits by home health providers without sacrificing patient safety.
NCT01667536
This was a multicenter, multi-reader, open-label, Phase 2 study assessing the safety and performance characteristics of MIP 1404 imaging in the detection of prostate gland and pelvic lymph node cancer. Comparative performance characteristics between MIP 1404 imaging and MRI were also assessed, as judged by histopathology results.
NCT01079234
This trial is conducted in Europe and in the United States of America (USA). The aim of this trial is to investigate the efficacy and safety of NN1250 (insulin degludec) in subjects with type 1 diabetes.
NCT00035113
This study will examine whether the new investigational drug EPO906, given by intravenous infusion (IV directly into the vein), is effective in shrinking tumors and preventing the growth of cells that cause prostate cancer.
NCT01261767
This trial is conducted in the United States of America (USA). The aim of this clinical trial is evaluate the safety and tolerability of anti-IL-20 in patients with psoriasis and to determine the preliminary efficacy in an expansion phase of this trial. This trial consists of 3 parts: A single dose (SD) dose-escalation phase for 16 weeks, a multiple dose (MD) dose-escalation phase for 22 weeks, and a MD expansion phase for 22 weeks. Initiation of the MD expansion phase will depend on results from the SD and MD dose-escalation phases and only if an acceptable safety profile is present. Subjects participating in the expansion phase are not allowed to have participated in the previous phases (SD and MD dose-escalation phases) of the trial.
NCT01471782
The purpose of this study is to determine the dose of the bispecific T cell engager blinatumomab (MT103) in pediatric and adolescent patients with relapsed/refractory acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and to assess whether this dose of blinatumomab is effective.
NCT02032875
This trial was open to participants who had received a liver transplant or had cirrhosis due to chronic HCV. All subjects were treated with daclatasvir+sofosbuvir+ribavirin and were followed for 24 weeks post treatment. Under certain conditions, the treatment duration could have been extended for cirrhotic participants. The study tested the efficacy and safety of this combination for treatment of HCV in cirrhotic and post transplant patients.
NCT00903370
The purpose of the research is to determine whether treating atrial fibrillation with surgical ablation during scheduled mitral valve surgery is better than mitral valve surgery by itself without the surgical ablation. Surgical ablation of atrial fibrillation is a technique used by surgeons to deaden atrial heart tissue and block electrical signals that may be causing your heart to beat irregularly. There are no new procedures being tested in this study; both mitral valve surgery and surgical ablation are used regularly in patients who have mitral valve problems and atrial fibrillation, although no surgical ablation devices have been approved by the Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of atrial fibrillation. What is not known with certainty, is whether patients with atrial fibrillation who are having planned mitral valve surgery would do better if they also had surgical ablation rather than medication alone to treat their atrial fibrillation.
