NCT05552859
The TRENT trial is designed to confirm the efficacy and safety of Gla-300 compared with IDeg-100 in insulin-naïve patient (participants who have not tried insulin) with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) and renal impairment. It will test the hypothesis that Gla-300 is non-inferior to IDeg-100 with glucose control. If achieved, the trial will also test for the superiority of Gla-300 compared with IDeg-100 in Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) reduction, without an increased potential risk of hypoglycemia.
NCT05059444
The purpose of ORACLE is to demonstrate the ability of a novel ctDNA assay developed by Guardant Health to detect recurrence in individuals treated for early-stage solid tumors. It is necessary that ctDNA test results are linked to clinical outcomes in order to demonstrate clinical validity for recurrence detection and explore its value in a healthcare environment subject to cost containment.
NCT05239728
The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of oral belzutifan (MK-6482) plus intravenous (IV) pembrolizumab (MK-3475) compared to placebo plus pembrolizumab, in the adjuvant treatment of Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma (ccRCC) post nephrectomy. The primary study hypothesis is that belzutifan plus pembrolizumab is superior to placebo plus pembrolizumab with respect to disease-free survival (DFS).
NCT03991169
This is a pilot clinical trial of oral iron therapy in children with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and mild anemia. Eligible children will be randomized into a standard of care (iron sulfate) arm vs. no iron therapy arm for 3 months. The outcomes will include muscle strength, physical activity, and changes in eating behavior, which will be measured at enrollment and at the end of the study period.
NCT02684006
This is a phase 3 randomized trial evaluating the anti-tumor activity and safety of avelumab in combination with axitinib and of sunitinib monotherapy, administered as first-line treatment, in patients with advanced renal cell carcinoma
NCT03257410
The study evaluates the efficacy and safety of the Theranova 400 dialyzer compared with Elisio-17 H dialyzer in end stage renal disease patients receiving hemodialysis treatment. Efficacy will be determined by the removal of middle molecules (with different molecular size) from the blood compartment. Safety will be evaluated by maintaining pre-dialysis serum albumin levels and other safety events including laboratory tests and adverse events. Patients will undergo 3 dialysis sessions per week, for 24 weeks.
NCT03117309
Phase II trial of nivolumab in 120 treatment naïve patients with ccRCC.
NCT04987203
This study will be comparing tivozanib in combination with nivolumab to tivozanib alone in subjects with advanced Renal Cell Carcinoma (RCC) who have had 1 or 2 prior lines of therapy, one of which was an Immune Checkpoint Inhibitor (ICI).
NCT05085275
A 9-month randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study to compare the effect of fixed dose ferric citrate versus placebo in patients with advanced chronic kidney disease (eGFR ≤20 ml/min/1.73m2) on the composite endpoint of time to initiation of maintenance dialysis or all-cause mortality.
NCT04337970
Researchers are doing this study to find out if the combination of the drugs axitinib and talazoparib is a safe and effective treatment for people with your previously treated advanced kidney cancer. Researchers will look for the highest dose of talazoparib that causes few or mild side effects when given in combination with a standard dose of axitinib.
NCT02859896
Primary Objective: Evaluate the effect of Hectorol® capsules in reducing elevated levels of intact parathyroid hormone (iPTH). Secondary Objectives: * Evaluate the safety profile of Hectorol® capsules versus Rocaltrol® (calcitriol) capsules. * Determine the pharmacokinetic profile of 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D2 after administration of Hectorol®.
NCT04140526
This is a First-in-Human Phase IA/IB/II open label dose escalation study of intravenous (IV) administration of ONC-392, a humanized anti-CTLA4 IgG1 monoclonal antibody, as single agent and in combination with pembrolizumab in participants with advanced or metastatic solid tumors and non-small cell lung cancers.
NCT06150924
This is a randomized, double-blind (DB), placebo controlled, crossover study with a two-period, two-sequence (2x2) design evaluating the efficacy and safety of 25 mg QD lorundrostat (an aldosterone synthase inhibitor \[ASI\]) in addition to a SGLT2i for the treatment of hypertension in subjects with CKD and albuminuria while receiving stable treatment with an Angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor (ACEi) or an Angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). Subjects will be at least 18 years old with hypertension, and mild to severe CKD with albuminuria at the Screening Visit.
NCT05585034
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of intravenous (IV) administration of XmAb808 in combination with pembrolizumab in subjects with selected advanced solid tumors and to identify the minimum safe and biologically effective/recommended dose (RD) and schedule for XmAb808.
NCT03260894
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of pembrolizumab plus epacadostat compared to sunitinib or pazopanib in participants with locally advanced/metastatic renal cell carcinoma (mRCC) with a clear cell component who have not received prior systemic therapy for their mRCC.
NCT03812679
Peritoneal dialysis (PD) is a well-established treatment for renal failure including long-term management of end stage renal disease (ESRD) by continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis or automated peritoneal dialysis (APD). Complementary therapies offer longer term survival for patients with ESRD. However, none of them are devoid of side effects and today their limitations are better understood by the nephrologist. The AMIA APD Solution Generation System combines an updated AMIA APD Cycler with Sharesource Platform (previously cleared) with an in-home water system technology and leverages newly developed AMIA APD Concentrates. The AMIA APD Concentrates, after dilution by the AMIA APD Solution Generation System, are indicated for adult patients in acute or chronic renal failure when non-dialytic medical therapy is judged to be inadequate.
NCT04968184
This Phase 3, randomized, Double-blind, placebo-controlled, 2-arm, parallel-group, multicenter study with randomized withdrawal will evaluate the efficacy, safety, and durability of KBP-5074 in adult participants who have stage 3b/4 chronic kidney disease (CKD) (estimated glomerular filtration rate \[eGFR\] calculated using the Chronic Kidney Disease Epidemiology Collaboration \[CKD-EPI\] formula \[eGFR {EPI}\] ≥15 to ≤44 mL/min/1.73 m\^2) and uncontrolled hypertension (systolic blood pressure (SBP) ≥140 and \<180 mm Hg and taking 2 or more antihypertensive medications.
NCT06734234
This is a study where a new drug, called GSK4771261 is being tested. Neither the study doctors, study staff or participants will be aware of what treatment is being given. Part A is testing the new study treatment on healthy people. This is to see if it's safe, what it does to the body, and how the body's defense system responds to it. Part B is similar, but the study treatment will be given to people who have a kidney disease called autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD).
NCT03778502
Unusual site venous thromboembolism (VTE) refers to thrombosis occurring in venous districts outside the veins of the lower extremities and the pulmonary arteries, and includes splanchnic vein thrombosis (SVT), cerebral vein thrombosis (CVT), retinal vein thrombosis, ovarian vein thrombosis, and renal vein thrombosis. The use of the novel direct oral anticoagulants (DOAC), thrombin or factor Xa-inhibitors (such as dabigatran, apixaban, edoxaban, rivaroxaban), in patients with unusual VTE in clinical practice is increasing. Through an international multicentre prospective registry, the investigators aim to evaluate the rationale for the use of the DOAC for the treatment of unusual site VTE and to assess the safety and effectiveness of this approach in real life clinical practice.
NCT05624710
This is a multicenter, open-label, parallel-group study to evaluate INCB054707 in participants with varying levels of renal function or impairment.
