The study evaluates the efficacy and safety of the Theranova 400 dialyzer compared with Elisio-17 H dialyzer in end stage renal disease patients receiving hemodialysis treatment. Efficacy will be determined by the removal of middle molecules (with different molecular size) from the blood compartment. Safety will be evaluated by maintaining pre-dialysis serum albumin levels and other safety events including laboratory tests and adverse events. Patients will undergo 3 dialysis sessions per week, for 24 weeks.

This phase Ib trial studies the side effects and best dose of selinexor when given together with several different standard chemotherapy or immunotherapy regimens in treating patients with malignancies that have spread to other places in the body and usually cannot be cured or controlled with treatment (advanced). Selinexor may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Studying selinexor with different standard chemotherapy or immunotherapy regimens may help doctors learn the side effects and best dose of selinexor that can be given with different types of treatments in one study.

The purpose of the study is to evaluate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of balcinrenone/dapagliflozin compared with dapagliflozin alone on patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and albuminuria. This study will evaluate the effect of the balcinrenone/dapagliflozin on urinary albumin-to-creatinine ratio (UACR), compared with dapagliflozin in patients with CKD. This is a dose-finding study aiming to identify an optimal dose of balcinrenone/dapagliflozin for a future Phase III study in patients with CKD.

We will conduct a 12-month, double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial to assess the effects of therapy with ferric citrate (FC) on changes in intact FGF23 levels (iFGF23, primary endpoint) in 160 pediatric patients (80 in each of the two arms) aged 6-18 years of either sex with chronic kidney disease (CKD) stages 3-4 and age-appropriate normal serum phosphate levels. Participants will be randomized to one of the two groups: 1) FC or 2) FC placebo. Participants will be recruited from 20 core clinical sites.

This two-arm, parallel randomized trial study will assess the efficacy of a 6-month (26 weeks) community-based program in reducing kidney injury (as Urine Albumin to Creatinine ratio, uACR), cardiovascular risk (as Hemoglobin A1C and blood pressure), mental health (as PHQ-8) and diet quality (as fruits and vegetables intake and Healthy Eating Index) in community-dwelling, low-income adults diagnosed with early chronic kidney disease (stages 2 or 3 and not on kidney replacement therapies) compared to educational materials and usual care alone.

Kidney transplantation is a good treatment option for people with kidney disease. However, there is still much to learn about how to best care for the transplanted kidney and keep it functioning for a long time. Transplant recipients receive induction therapy and immunosuppression (anti-rejection) drugs to prevent their body from rejecting the new kidney. These drugs are used to prevent the immune system from attacking the transplanted kidney. This research study will evaluate the safety and activity of mesenchymal stromal stem cells (MSCs) infusion compared to saline-only infusion in reducing the immune suppression necessary to achieve optimal renal function in renal transplant recipients. All participants will receive routine care: basiliximab, tacrolimus, mycophenolate mofetil, and corticosteroids.

This is a randomized, double-blind (DB), placebo controlled, crossover study with a two-period, two-sequence (2x2) design evaluating the efficacy and safety of 25 mg QD lorundrostat (an aldosterone synthase inhibitor \[ASI\]) in addition to a SGLT2i for the treatment of hypertension in subjects with CKD and albuminuria while receiving stable treatment with an Angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor (ACEi) or an Angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). Subjects will be at least 18 years old with hypertension, and mild to severe CKD with albuminuria at the Screening Visit.

Peritoneal dialysis (PD) is a well-established treatment for renal failure including long-term management of end stage renal disease (ESRD) by continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis or automated peritoneal dialysis (APD). Individuals receiving dialysis are at risk of heart failure and heart related death. There is an urgent need for treatments that reduce the risk of these problems in patients that require dialysis. Spironolactone is a pill used to prevent heart failure and related deaths in patients that do not require dialysis. It works by blocking a hormone (aldosterone) in your body that causes high blood pressure and can damage the heart. Although spironolactone is very effective in patients that do not require dialysis, we do not know if spironolactone is effective in dialysis patients. Our research will help determine if spironolactone reduces heart failure and heart related deaths in dialysis patients. The purpose of this study is to determine if spironolactone reduces death or hospitalization for heart failure and is well tolerated in patients that require dialysis.
