NCT07218029
Researchers are looking for more ways to treat PAH. In PAH, the blood vessels in the lungs become thick and narrow, which makes it harder for blood to flow. This causes high blood pressure in the lungs and overworks the heart. PAH can make it hard to breathe and be active. Some standard (usual) treatments for PAH can treat symptoms of PAH but do not stop PAH from getting worse. Sotatercept is a study medicine designed to treat PAH. It is a targeted therapy, which is a treatment that works on certain proteins that play a role in causing PAH. This is a long-term follow-up (LTFU) study. People who took part in certain other studies testing sotatercept for PAH may be able to join this study. The goal of this study is to learn about the long-term safety of sotatercept and if people tolerate it when taken with standard PAH treatment over a longer period of time.
NCT05934526
The primary objective of the study is to determine the effect of seralutinib on improving exercise capacity in subjects with WHO Group 1 PAH who are FC II or III. The secondary objective for this trial is to determine time to clinical worsening.
NCT06647511
The goal of this observational study is to use digital health tracking to improve how high blood pressure and other health issues are detected in pregnant refugee women. The main questions this study aims to answer are are: * Can a digital monitoring system that checks for high blood pressure in these women be tested and refined, using clinical training and validation? * Can this digital monitoring system accurately track any related pregnancy health issues and be used to refer participants to care providers? * Can this system be used to accurately identify risks associated with the contraction of pregnancy-related conditions, such as preeclampsia and high blood pressure? Participants will: * Complete baseline and follow-up in-person appointments; * Complete surveys at these appointment that track their health, stress levels, and comorbidities/risks associated with pregnancy; * Be given a smartwatch fitness tracker and electronic blood pressure cuffs for at-home measurements.
NCT03626688
Study ROR-PH-301, ADVANCE OUTCOMES, is designed to assess the efficacy and safety of ralinepag when added to pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) standard of care or PAH-specific background therapy in subjects with World Health Organization (WHO) Group 1 PAH.
NCT04273945
The purpose of this study is to demonstrate superiority of macitentan 75 milligrams (mg) in prolonging the time to the first clinical events committee (CEC)-adjudicated morbidity or mortality (M/M) event in participants with symptomatic pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) compared to macitentan 10 mg.
NCT06814145
Researchers are looking for new ways to treat people with a type of pulmonary hypertension called combined postcapillary and precapillary pulmonary hypertension (Cpc-PH). This study focuses on Cpc-PH that is caused by heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF). Researchers want to know if the study treatment, sotatercept, can treat people with Cpc-PH caused by HFpEF. This is an extension study, which means people who took part in a certain study on sotatercept for Cpc-PH (called a parent study) may be able to join this study. In this extension study, people will take sotatercept and researchers will follow their health for a longer time. The main goal of this extension study is to learn about the long-term safety of sotatercept and if people tolerate it over a longer period of time.
NCT04691154
This Phase 3, 2-part, open-label, multicenter study aims to demonstrate the safety and tolerability of L606 in patients with PAH or PH-ILD. The study will determine the short-term and long-term safety and tolerability of L606 in this patient population.
NCT05048147
Using a focused implementation research framework, the EPIS (Exploration, Preparation, Implementation and Sustainment) model in a type-2 hybrid design, the study will be conducted in 3 phases: 1) A pre-implementation phase that will use the Exploration and Preparation domains of EPIS to: a) explore barriers and facilitators of Clean Fuel- Clean- Stove (CF-CS) use, and b) develop a culturally-tailored CM strategy for CF-CS use; 2) An Implementation phase that will use the Implementation domain of EPIS to compare in a cluster RCT of 32 peri-urban communities (640 households), the effect of CM vs. a self-directed condition (i.e. receipt of information on CF-CS use without CM) on adoption of CF-CS use; and systolic BP reduction; 3) A post-implementation phase that will use the Sustainment domain of EPIS to evaluate the effect of CM strategy vs. self-directed condition on sustainability of the CF-CS use in 640 households across the randomly assigned 32 peri-urban communities in Nigeria. The Lagos State University College of Medicine (LASUCOM) working with the MOH will oversee research coordination in Nigeria.
NCT06137742
The purpose of the study is to learn how the study medicine called PF-07868489 is tolerated and acts in healthy adult people and people with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Part A: An investigator- and participant-blind, sponsor-open, placebo-controlled, single ascending dose study to assess the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics (PK) of PF-07868489 in healthy adult participants. Part B: A 24-week, randomized, double blind, placebo-controlled study to assess the safety, tolerability, PK, and pharmacodynamics (PD) of PF-07868489 in adult participants with PAH.
NCT05885997
The goal of this research is to determine whether a theory-informed implementation strategy is successful at increasing the uptake of a supported home blood pressure monitoring (HBPM) program as well as to determine the effectiveness of this evidence-based practice when implemented across multiple practices serving a diverse patient population.
NCT05447962
The CLIP program will train Community Health Workers (CHWs) to screen and identify Black men with elevated blood pressure (BP) or stage 1 hypertension (HTN), initiate lifestyle counseling; and link them to primary care and social services.
NCT03045029
This prospective, observational, multicenter, patient registry will follow patients who are receiving treatment with Orenitram for the treatment of PAH for up to 78 weeks from Orenitram initiation
NCT06864104
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the blood pressure (BP)-lowering efficacy of tonlamarsen in adult participants who, despite taking 2 or more antihypertensive medications, have not achieved their target blood pressure (BP).
NCT07181109
The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether zilebesiran versus placebo reduces the risk of cardiovascular (CV) death, nonfatal myocardial infarction (MI), nonfatal stroke, or heart failure (HF) events. This is an event-driven study that will continue until the targeted number of positively adjudicated primary endpoint clinical outcome events (COEs) have been reached.
NCT04175600
The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether the addition of selexipag to standard of care treatment delays disease progression in children with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) in comparison to placebo.
NCT06911632
MOMENTOUS is a multi-center, randomized study to prospectively evaluate the performance of an ECG-based AI device to predict whether participants with interstitial lung disease (ILD) are at high risk of undiagnosed pulmonary hypertension.
NCT07073820
The purpose of this study is to learn about the long-term safety, tolerability and effects of the study medicine (PF-07868489) for the possible treatment of PAH. PAH is a condition in which there is high blood pressure in the arteries that carry blood from the heart to the lungs. This high pressure makes it harder for the heart to pump blood through those lungs, potentially damaging the right side of the heart. This is an open-label study. Which means that both the healthcare providers and the study participants are aware of the medicine being given. This study is also an extension study with study medicine (PF-07868489). An extension study allows patients from an earlier clinical study (also called as qualifying study) to continue participating to assess long-term benefits and safety of the medicine.
NCT07365332
