NCT01467544
Tai chi intervention may lead to relaxation and could potentially reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. This project entails a comprehensive and innovative approach for understanding, measuring, and potentially reducing cardiovascular risk in women. The goal of this area of research is to reduce cardiovascular risk and perhaps reduce illness and death.
NCT01857999
The dual blockade of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system with an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor and an angiotensin-receptor blocker used together in heart failure patients has been demonstrated to be beneficial. However, the dual inhibition has not been studied during heart failure decompensation or even when low cardiac output is present. The objective of this study was to assess the effects of add-on therapy with angiotensin receptor blocker on plasma B-type natriuretic peptide levels and hemodynamic measurements in heart failure patients with low cardiac output during hospitalization for decompensation. This was a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial.
NCT01543308
The protein composition of HDL is complicated. The investigators have identified 40 distinct proteins associated with HDL by proteomics technology, and these proteins have been confirmed to be related to the function of anti-inflammation, anti-oxidation, improvement of endothelial function, inhibition of thrombosis and so on. And the investigators also found that the levels of some proteins in HDL changed in patients with coronary heart disease, compared with the healthy control group. So, this study is to conduct in the two following aspects: enlarge the sample size to verify the preliminary results to find new research ideas of pathogenesis and biomarkers for coronary heart disease; and study the changes of HDL protein composition in patients with coronary heart disease before and after statins treatment using proteomics technology in order to find the mechanism of statins pleiotropic effects and indicators for evaluating the treatment effectiveness.
