NCT03035474
CONNECT-HF is a large-scale, pragmatic, cluster-randomized clinical trial to evaluate the effect of a customized, multifaceted, health system-level quality-improvement (QI) program compared with usual care on heart failure (HF) outcomes and HF quality-of-care metrics.
NCT00082589
The purpose of this study is to determine if eplerenone is effective in the treatment of mild to moderate heart failure
NCT02605447
The EVOLVE Short DAPT Study is a prospective, multicenter, single-arm study designed to assess the safety of 3-month DAPT in subjects at high risk for bleeding undergoing PCI with a SYNERGY Stent System.
NCT04044391
This is a multicenter, prospective trial to measure the test performance characteristics of the Magnetocardiography (MCG) CardioFlux cardiac diagnostic system in detecting clinically significant coronary artery obstruction in patients with symptoms of suspected acute coronary syndrome or who present with a failed stress test with the intention of treat with cardiac catheterization.
NCT01361685
Lead survivability will be summarized.
NCT03232944
The purpose of this Post-Approval Study (PAS) is to evaluate the effectiveness of MPP to improve CRT response in the non-responder patient population when used in "real-world" clinical practice, following commercial release. This evaluation is based on the Clinical Composite Score which summarizes the proportions and frequencies of CRT non-responder patients who are "improved", "unchanged" or "worsened" after receiving MPP therapy. Patients will be followed for the duration of the PAS. This study is required by FDA as a condition of approval of the MPP feature and is integrated within the Product Surveillance Registry (PSR).
NCT03036124
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of dapagliflozin on the incidence of worsening heart failure or cardiovascular death in patients with chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction
NCT02666664
The purpose of this study is to see if ETC-1002 (bempedoic acid) is safe and well-tolerated versus placebo in patients with high cardiovascular risk and elevated LDL cholesterol that is not adequately controlled by their current therapy.
NCT02874794
To determine whether treatment with sacubitril/valsartan provides a superior effect on aortic characteristic impedance compared to enalapril in patients with heart failure and reduced ejection fraction (left ventricular ejection fraction \[LVEF\] ≤ 40%) after 12 weeks of treatment. The primary endpoint is the change in aortic characteristic impedance (Zc = dP/dQ in early systole) between baseline and Week 12.
NCT02696967
The purpose of this study was to determine the safety and tolerability of CLR325 intravenous (i.v.) infusion in patients with stable heart failure to determine if further clinical development of the drug in this indication was warranted.
NCT00632372
The purpose of this study is to collect and analyze electrical measurements, timing, and signals from a CRT-D device in heart failure patients who either already have an implanted left atrial pressure sensor or will undergo a simultaneous implantation of a left atrial pressure sensor and a CRT-D device. These devices may be placed at the same time or separately (staged procedure) at the discretion of the investigator. A comparison will be made between the information gathered from the CRT-D system and the information gathered by the left atrial pressure sensor.
NCT00855712
The purpose of the study is to compare survival of both patients and newly transplanted hearts following heart transplantation among patients who were transplanted with donated hearts preserved on ice and those who were transplanted with donated hearts using the Organ Care System (OCS). The Organ care system preserves the hearts in a warm blood perfused beating state. The study also compares the number of rejection episodes, heart related adverse events, ICU time, and ventilation time between the two groups. The study is considered a success if survival in the OCS group was not inferior to the ice group.
NCT00232180
In an earlier study, eplerenone was shown to improve survival in patients who had heart failure immediately following a heart attack. However, it is not known how patients with established mild-to-moderate heart failure (NYHA Class II), who have the additional risk of sudden death, will respond if treated with eplerenone. In this trial, eplerenone plus standard heart failure medicines is being compared to placebo plus standard heart failure medicines in terms of an additional ability to prolong life and prevent re-hospitalizations for worsening heart failure in these patients. The Data Safety Monitoring Committee (DSMC) observed during its conduct of the protocol-specified second interim analysis on the 6th of May, 2010 that the efficacy of eplerenone had met the pre-specified stopping rules in the protocol. As a result of the discussion between the DSMC and the Executive Steering Committee (ESC), the ESC recommended that EMPHASIS-HF should be terminated, Based on the convincing efficacy and the consideration that it would be unethical not to offer this treatment to patients, the ESC recommended that all the patients in the trial should be transferred to open-label eplerenone. The Open Label Extension eplerenone arm will last for 12 months. Eplerenone is not currently approved for the indication studied in this patient population. On May 26, 2010, further enrollment into EMPHASIS-HF was stopped. The amendment is considered to be the most appropriate way to ensure that all the subjects who participated in the double-blind phase of the EMPHASIS-HF trial can be offered treatment with eplerenone
NCT02757976
This trial will compare two strategies for patients with Heart Failure, Left Ventricular systolic dysfunction, and intermediate QRS durations. The control group is conventional CRT. The experimental group is LVendo CRT
NCT01762124
The purpose of this early feasibility study is to determine how a new transcatheter pulmonary valve will move and perform once implanted in the right ventricular outflow tract.
NCT03357731
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of BMS-986231 on systolic and diastolic parameters in patients with heart failure and low ejection fraction.
NCT03564860
This is a single-arm, non-randomized, non-blinded study designed to collect device data in patients with permanent His bundle (HB) pacing lead and an existing Abbott permanent pacemaker, defibrillator, or cardiac resynchronization device. Prospective data collection includes surface electrocardiograms, intracardiac electrograms, and pacing parameters, recorded during a patient visit. Additional retrospective data collection includes procedural data during the HB pacing lead and device implant. Up to 200 subjects will participate in this clinical investigation. The clinical investigation will be conducted at up to 8 centers worldwide. The total duration of the clinical investigation is expected to be 1 year, including enrollment and data collection from all subjects.

NCT00162370
The study is designed to see if stress echocardiography can be used as a screening exam in peri-, or post-menopausal women with a risk of developing of coronary artery disease and experiencing future cardiac events.
NCT03177447
Background: Early palliative care (EPC) is recommended but rarely integrated with advanced heart failure (HF) care. This pilot study engaged patients and family caregivers to study the feasibility and site differences in a two-site EPC trial, ENABLE CHF-PC (Educate, Nurture, Advise, Before Life Ends Comprehensive Heartcare for Patients and Caregivers). An EPC feasibility study (4/1/14-8/31/15) was conducted for patients with New York Heart Association (NYHA) Functional Class III/IV HF and their caregivers in academic medical centers in the northeast and southeast U.S. The EPC intervention comprised: 1) an in-person palliative care consultation; and 2) telephonic nurse coach sessions and monthly calls. Patient- and caregiver-reported outcomes were collected for quality of life (QOL), symptom, health, anxiety, and depression outcomes at baseline, 12- and 24-weeks. Linear mixed-models were used to assess baseline to week 24 longitudinal changes. The intervention was tailored to rural, older adults (age≥65) with advanced HF in reducing HF morbidity and improving patient and caregiver QOL and quality of care.
