•Spine surgery at or below the L1 vertebral level
•Midline surgical approach

Exclusion Criteria

•Previous lumbar or lumbo-sacral surgery with or without hardware placement
•Evidence of dura pathology (including CSF leak)
•Spine tumor
•Non-English speaking
