•Newly diagnosed essential hypertension patients will be eligible for the study.
•Average of two or more systolic BP readings ≥ 140mmHg or diastolic BP readings ≥ 90mmHg

Exclusion Criteria

•History of coronary artery disease
•History of diabetes
